Clipper- have option to put text in item, rather than the html pane

Submitted by KeithB on 2011/01/09 12:21
I'd like to see some kind of mechanism added to the WIN-c clipper, to enabling putting copied content into the "Item text" instead of in the html pane.

For my purposes, I've moving more and more to modest amounts of text in the grid only, and only using the html pane for a large amount of content.

Therefore, most of the time, I'll do web captures by selecting a paragraph or two, without pictures; i then have to manually copy and paste the html area content into the Item Text box.

Copying to IQ from other outliners

Submitted by Jon on 2011/01/05 16:30
Perhaps someone here can offer some advice. I would like to copy from another outliner (Ecco with or without Ecco Extension, NoteMap, Brainstorm, etc.) I have developed a work-around that is too involved to do routinely. How can I easily copy and paste an outline into IQ and maintain the structure? I can do this between every other outliner, but not IQ. (EDIT: I should qualify that last statement. I cannot get the structure into IQ, but I can copy/paste it out)

Format copying

Sorry, I don't know if this has been covered before. I know Pierre will be working on Ecco style outline formatting. This will be a great addition. Until this is implemented, or even as an addition to Ecco ouutline formatting, could a tool be added such that it can copy and paint from a desired existing format (bold, underlined, 16 point Bitstream Sans Mono) to another?

Thank you.

Merry Christmas and Happy new Year !

Hi all IQUsers,

I'd like to wish you wonderful holidays, filled with love and happiness.

I'd also like to thank you for your support in making InfoQube the most versatile information manager.

This last fall, I've been quite busy doing non-IQ related consulting (test software for RadarSat 3) and have not been able to make as much progress as I would have wished.

But 2011 will be the year of IQ v1.0 ! Stay tuned.

Pierre

auto assignment

I thought the following would work but it doesn't seem to & I don't know why.
Could someone explain the logic breakdown in this equation please.

Purpose
If I write any item that includes the word "MIRMA"
I want a boolean field named MIRMA checked off so I can easily create a grid later on.
(I guess I could do it by searching the entire dB for the word later on & doing a group assign & create a grid but anyway,)

What's wrong w the following

AM:MIRMA=HasKeyword(Item,"MIRMA",-1)|
E:MIRMA=|

TIA

When using 2 IQ instance : "Error reading data. Check the source, filter and sort criteria" (M)

Submitted by Armando on 2010/12/19 18:59
I get this error, from time to time, and absolutely nothing is wrong with any filter, source, etc. The only thing I can see is that 2 IQ processes are running at the same time and that it could cause some problem. However, I often did that and never had problems of this kind before. The problem seems to come from the sort text box -- when I deactivate the sort, the error goes away. Anybody else ?
