Since v0.9.114p/q context menu (right-click) some times stops working when clicking on newer created items.

Minor bug:

Open new sample file -- layout as below:

 

 

Ctrl+Drag "How to use this grid" item to the opposite pane.

In the Inbox, five items get selected. As you can see the drag and drop works, but here it also gets treated as a drag/select action (I can see that happening after the move).

Youtube productivity videos are usually boring as hell, but this guy may be the most organized human I've ever seen. Whether that is good I don't know, I'd have to know how much time he spends maintaining this. The amount of stuff he has automated is crazy, so it may not be as much as it seems, I suspect most of the time was spend putting it all together. Sharing for other users to get ideas for things they might want to do with IQ.
 

Hi,

I tried to place "Replace All" on "Find/Replace" menu using "Customize" box's "Commands" tab to no avail. Strangely, I was able to place it on "Font Menu".

 

Nor does assigned shortcut key for "Replace All", Ctrl+Alt+P, trigger any action.

 

Separately, MS Word shortcut key, Ctrl+W, doesn't open Word, either, even though its path is correct under "Options". Moreover, even though I was able to drag/place "Edit with MSWord" button onto "Format Menu", as soon as I close the Customize box, it disappears from the menu.

Can't remember if I posted this before but I'd like to customize what info is shown in the "More Info" pop-up.

 

One of the most common things I want to find quickly is the item creation date.  Unfortunately, the More Info window shows only the modified date. 

 

Even better, I wish I could display certain key pieces of info all the time without having to make any moves to find them.  I have my eye on the large, unused space at the top of the grid that right now just shows "Items from [fieldname]".  Could easily display ItemCreated date there, and several other designated fields.

 

Of course, everything can be found in the properties, grid columns, etc but that usually requires switching tabs and scrolling to find something.  It's nice to have key info visible without having to do anything to find it.

I find this great program very useful as an overview calendar parallel to doing calendar micro-management in InfoQube. I have it in a kind of sidebar on my desktop that shows four months at a time, vertically arrayed. The colouring of different categories of events is really helpful. I put into it only important / outstanding dates and 'structural' events like birthdays, holidays, vacations etc. Sorry about the blurring, but I didn't want to show everything plainly.

 

 

Is there anyway to reset the sync status of all my IQ calendar events so that a sync would write them all back into the Google calendar instead of IQ deleting all the synced events?

 

I had emptied my Google calendar in the hope of achieving a full sync of IQ > Google (as that sync option isn't currently working), but apparently it doesn't work that way...

With the recent demise of Google Tasks (nesting has been limited to one level and there is no longer any full-window UI to work on tasks - it has to be done in the tiny gmail sidebar), I feel that it would no longer make sense to implement grid syncing with this platform. Does anyone disagree / really still use Tasks in a way that would make IQ grids syncing to it a sensible proposition?

 

In my opinion, it would make much more sense to go with Dynalist (or possibly Workflowy though that would mean a costly subscription).

 

If anyone's interested and Pierre is open to such suggestions, we might discuss the relative merits and drawbacks of each platform...

1) Selected item is:

 

a) last item in grid

b) located in middle of screen view with "buffer" rows below it that aren't actual items

 

2) Hit return to create new item

 

3) Screen refreshes and moves active item to the bottom of the view. 

 

If you continue typing at that point, text will run off the bottom of the screen and can't be seen until you manually scroll it  back into review.

 

I'm pretty sure this isn't the only circumstance where this occurs.  Several times a day I find myself typing text with only the tops of the letters visible as it disappears off the bottom of the screen.
