All of a sudden I'm getting a lot of program hang, i.e. not responding

Situation is UNREMARKABLE
but

item screen split horizontally
2-3 tabs in one pane
1 view in other pane

jump from entering data in one pane to other pane starts the problem repetitively
Haven't tested for single pane problems but will revert to that.
I'm thinking this problem may be tied to grid supplier changes

That's the only observation I can offer but IT IS ANNOYING as hell.

V0.9.25W4 tracking thread

W4 seems to have lots of great things in it, so I thought I would create a thread to track them (and also wonder when we get this W4 awesomeness)...

It seems to have some key fixes in it (for me at least :), some of which Pierre reported fixed a month ago. These are the ones I know off the top of my head (I'm updating as I see more)....

Can't wait :).

Multiple panes/meta-columns in a grid [Feature Request]

One thing I would love to see is for IQ to take better advantage of our wide screen monitors by rolling over grid contents to an additional panes under the same tab.

What I am talking about is called multiple-columns in Microsoft Word, but since columns is taken I am using the term pane to describe the columns and rows combined. For example, here is multiple columns in Word:

The idea is simple, if you have lots of horizontal space (and most of us do these days with widescreen laptops and monitors) it would be great to use that space by continue the tab's contents into another column.

For example, if I have the following Grid

Cannot set or edit dates

Submitted by gregory on 2011/12/02 00:23
There's a longstanding problem - bug? - associated with setting the date of an item (at least on my machine - Windows 7, Access 2010 installed). I can set the date of an item: e.g. using <CTRL>+M. However, if I attempt to edit the date, using for example <F2>, or even simply tabbing to the field and pressing <Enter>: the grid freezes completely. The only way forward is then to close and reopen the grid. I have to assume that this is something specific to my machine. It is not IQbase-specific: the problem occurs on a completely new IQbase. Any ideas?
