Use of MS Word

I'd like to use MS Word to edit the pages of the pane on the right. How can I set this up? Are there instructions in the documentation?

Another question: What's the best way to search for answers to questions like this in all existing documentation sources?

Non-heirarchical view

Is this possible? I'd like to sometimes view items without the hierarchy, i.e. unindented, no sub-items. The "flat list" looks like the nearest thing, but there are still sub items. (If anyone here knows MLO, I mean something like the "To-Do" view.) Ideally a button or single menu item would toggle the hierarchy (as in MLO), but I'm guessing that if this is at all possible in IQ then it's some combination of flat list and filtering.

highlight-on-type

I am looking forward to the "filter-on-type" feature coming in 0.9.105.

I would also like to see a "highlight-on-type" feature added too, so that the user has the option not only to filter the grid for specified text, but also to highlight the specified text.  This is something I miss from the Ecco Extension.  Ecco Extension has a "highlight" button next to the filter text box, and if you activate that "highlight" button, all occurrences of the typed text are highlighted as you type.  You could turn on highlighting, filtering, or both.  It makes it easier to zero in on what you're looking for, particularly when the Item text is a few lines or longer.

File title in popup from icon on Windows task bar

When there's more than 1 IQ database open, the little preview window that pops up on mouse hover from the IQ icon on the Windows task bar says: "InfoQube Information Manager..." and it cuts of there. It would be more useful if it said the file name, maybe just "IQ" rather than spelled out the longest way, or just the file name, in the way that MS Office apps do. This would make it quicker and easier to select the correct window to maximise when more than 1 is open.

How to exit item-edit mode while keeping item selected

Submitted by Ivo on 2017/11/02 03:26
A simple question about just a small problem. When I've edited the text of an item, how can I exit the edit mode, while keeping the item selected? If I press the Enter key after editing an item, then an unwanted new item is created. I therefore have been pressing the Up or Down arrow key, but then the next item up or down is selected, unless it's the last item. Is there a single key or shortcut to escape editing an item while keeping the same item selected?
