blue text in grid (v113)

Submitted by jimspoon on 2019/06/10 09:58
Beginning with 113 I think, when I create a new item and enter text in the Item field in a grid, the text is blue on a white background.  Seems to do this whether I am in wysiwyg or non-wysiwyg mode.  It doesn't always happen, sometimes the text comes in as black on white as it was before.  I haven't figured out yet what makes it black or blue.  I wonder if it means something, like "this item needs to be refreshed".  Refreshing the view does make the blue text turn to black.  Any info on this?

Hyper-highlighting (improvements for highlighting modes and dedicated colors in IQ formatting toolbar)

Submitted by carloscadu on 2019/06/07 14:21
Hi,

The "hyper-highlighting" suggestion is about a set of improvements over the current highlighting modes and dedicated colors in InfoQube formatting toolbar, for both Grid and Document Pane.

a) Modes

Mode 1 (Select and Click):
This is the default mode InfoQube operates.
1) Selected item or text
2) Click in the formatting toolbar the color you want to highlight the text
3) Repeat the process (1) and (2) for keeping highlighting.

Mode 2 (Continuous highlighting):
Usage on grid items and document pane for continuously

'Add marked items as children' should produce children at the top of the list of subitems

As there is no visible feedback, when I use the command with items that have many subitems so the bottom of the list of subitems is not on the screen, I have to scroll down to check whether the command 'worked'. Adding items at the top would make this step unnecessary...

43 inch monitor incoming

Hey.

I've practically always been a single-window user since the first Windows. From time to time I was tempted by things like virtual desktops and intrigued by new Windows functionality like window docking etc. (which I've used maybe 100 times overall, so just in rare circumstances like the kids watching Youtube while I needed access to IQ or some such).

I have had a largish screen (27 inch) for 8 years now but since I like easy-on-the-eyes large font sizes I've scaled Windows to the point where tiling multiple windows on my screen didn't really seem attractive, especially since I've had my taskbar vertically on the left screen edge for years now. Plus I'd never really anticipated a great benefit from more side-by-side information. My workflow was mostly just copy from the one app and paste into the other, e.g.

How to enable coloring text and background through shortcuts in Doc pane?

Submitted by carloscadu on 2019/06/02 19:17
Hello,

I'd appreciate help.

As shown in this screencast (http://bit.ly/2W9tdcP), I could set custom shortcuts for changing color of item's text and background, which are working properly (color palette pops-up). Tried the same with text and background color in Doc pane, but the shortcuts aren't working.

a) How to enable coloring text and background (color palette pop-up) through shortcuts in Doc pane?

b) Is there any default shortcuts to coloring text and background?

Thank you!
Carlos

Highlight/background color on HTML pane often unavailable (need to restart IQ or tweak customize to enable again)

Hello,

I'm using InfoQube 0.9.113 (2019-05-22).
As you can see in this screencast (http://bit.ly/2W80C7V), highlight/background color on HTML pane isn't available, even the selected note is an HTML one.
This issue is intermittent.
To re-enable highlighting/background color tool I need to close/reopen IQ.
Edit 2019-06-02: As shown here (http://bit.ly/2W9ivDf ), tweak the "customize" command also re-enable highlight/background color.
Would it be a bug?

Thank you!
Carlos
