Yesterday I had a lockup caused by another program and had to do a reboot without being able to save work in the open programs.
When I checked InfoQube today I found that I had lost some subitem notes. That wasn't a surprise. I started retyping the notes. After
a couple of minutes I decided to hoist the item I was working on. When I did that, all the missing notes reappeared. See below.
By the way, I never thought to load the backup. The behavior is persistent. I've rebooted InfoQube and the subitems still won't display
in the main grid. Any ideas on what I can try to get the items back (there are a lot more that I didn't include in the screenshot)?

Edit: Now I'm really at a loss. All the subitems (except one) disappeared in both the main view and the hoisted view. I entered a new item, and once again all the subitems appeared but only in the hoisted view. Cannot get new subitems to appear in the main grid. They appear only in the hoisted view and they don't even do that consistently.
I'll update to the latest version and report back.

It's been frustrating because while I try to figure out this problem I've found additional problems.
1) Subitems do not display in the main grid but do appear when I hoist the parent. If I unhoist, the subitems disappear again.
2) I've restarted InfoQube and updated to release 32. No change.
3) Added new subitem. When I refresh the screen it disappears in the main grid.
4) Tried to figure out what was happening by opening the "CreatedDate" field in a scratch grid. Could not figure out how to sort by
date (reread my notes but nothing would work).
5) Noted that subitems were not being assigned to the grid field. Thought that was the problem because when I manually assigned
them, they finally appeared on the grid. But when I look at other subitems, they aren't assigned to the grid field either (yet they show up fine).
6) While doing all this I found that hoist isn't working correctly. It repeatedly hoists the previous item I selected, not the current one.
To sum up: 1) don't know why subitems won't display; 2) don't know how to sort by created date; 3) hoist isn't working.
menu: Tools >Database management >Repair (although I dont see this one having any effect on sorting...)
