I've mentioned that I'm in the process of entering a large amount of historical research into InfoQube. Right now I'm doing a simple copy/paste from the source into IQ text fields. I'm finding the process extremely slow and labor-intensive. Maybe someone here has some advice on how to speed up the process. Even a small improvement would be a big help over the long haul.
One thing that's making things so slow is that I'm breaking up the text by topic to give me maximum flexibility in sorting and filtering the information. This means I'm typically copying only a few sentences or maybe a paragraph at a time. I can't just copy pages at a time and paste it in one step.
It did occur to me just now that it might be faster to enter a big block of text then split it inside IQ. I haven't looked it up yet but I'm guessing IQ has a "split item" function like Ecco Pro. That would at least reduce the back and forth motion of copy/pasting one snippet at a time.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
