Scrolling is very very choppy here, makes it painful to manage list of items when scrolling. (This might be caused by the "scrolling past the last item" bug fix)
Anybody else?

I agree. I was thinking it had to do with my mouse settings but even when I set the mouse wheel to advance one line at a time, it often jumps 10-15 rows at a time. When I want to move down just a few rows it instead jumps ahead so far that everything goes out of view and I have to use the scrollbar to get to the right spot.

My God... it is that bad ?
I have no such signs on my pc...

I never take time to point out stuff just for the sake of it, so yes : bad scrolling is disturbing (that's why I completely dropped firefox for chrome...). It scrolls about 6 items at a time and not in a smooth manner.
That said, it's not a big deal to use an older version for a week. Apart for the hyperlinks problems they are good versions too!

Must say that 65 to 68 are approximately 25% faster for autoassigns and equations in the grid -- happened since the properties has been made more responsive and this increase happens even when the pane isn't shown.
So wondering if the properties pane is still somewhat programmatically accessed in the background, even when hidden? If that "link" could be severed when the pane is hidden, maybe could the performance be improved even more.

Using mousewheel, I find 67a slightly better than 66.
(Without KatMouse running and without having changed any settings.)
EDIT// just tried KatMouse again:
it does not have any affect on IQ panes i.e. a grid has to have focus before it will scroll; and I dont see any change in scrolling behaviour using it.
I've updated v68a to include a fix to improve touch-pad scrolling
(as it turns out, on some PCs, the touch-pad behaves as a mouse wheel, except with very large range of wheel speed. That is, a "real" mouse wheel has a range of 120 to 6000 units approximately. A touch-pad range can go from 2 to 20,000 !)
Pierre, not sure I understand. You refer to scrolling improvements with a track pad. But my experience with 66 and 67, scrolling with a mouse wheel is as described - "choppy." I went back to 64A and scrolling appears normal. I am staying with 64A for now because of several projects. Have not tried 68A.
I didn't know you had an issue with a mouse wheel. It is also improved for mouse wheel.
The main problem was with a touchpad...

I dont scroll much (I have hierarchies and generally collapse items) but did also have problems scrolling with mousewheel lately.
Testing 68a,
scrolling seem fine here with mouse-wheel at default value of 100 (in Options 1.2.17).
I wouldnt call it very smooth, but it's not stuttering any more.
The vertical scrollbar (on the side) can vary a lot in size which isn't a big deal, but odd. It varies according to the height of the items (I have wordwrap on and occasional items with ~ a paragraph of text).

True, not very smooth, but workable. Vertical scrollbar does vary in size - size is probably calculated from the item size and the number of items, instead of using pixels or some other means.

The varying scroll bar thumb size has been there for a long time. And yes, it is because it is calculated based on the % or items shown in the grid. So the size will vary. This is by design. This is not the case when wordwrap is off of course...
In v69, I've further improved the touchpad scroll. Some users will prefer to disable IQ handling of the touchpad (setting the ratio to 0), other not. On my system, the scroll is much better with a ratio of 100% (It is using the Elan Smart-Pad driver for Windows 8)
On PC's, touchpads do seem to be an after thought, behaving "like" a mouse wheel, but not always and heavily driver dependent
