some most fonts refuse to show at 10 point in the grid (they revert to 9 point)

Arial Narrow
Garamond
Palatino Linotype
Toledo
and a bunch of other obscure ones arent working @ 10 point

In fact the only one I've found so far that does actually show @ 10 point is Arial
I tried Palatino via Grid > Options but that reverted to 9 point as well - these fonts are working okay in other apps

- of course for one particular grid I want to make the font 10 point - 9 is too small for reading a lot of items and 11 I find unnecessarily big/wasteful of space

Can't speak to most fonts but I just tried 14pt verdana & it worked fine. Tom, oddly enough, I sometimes find closing / re-opening a grid or even the program clears the cobwebs when weird stuff starts happening. Why not give that a shot?

I can confirm that this is a bug. However, if you manually change the
  • Arial Narrow|9|
to
  • Arial Narrow|10|
The grid will correctly show 10 pt

This is now fixed. As it turns out, the actual font is 9.75pt, not 10pt, and this was being rounded to 9pt

glad it wasnt just me -
re Arial Narrow:
maybe we have different versions of the font - mine wont show 10 pt. even if I type it in manually in Grid > Options but that's not important to me - it's too narrow anyways !

I'm having following problem now:
-
I've been experimenting with many different fonts and sizes in different items and comparing them.
Now, if I set a new default font for item field in Grid's options, it doesnt change any of the items that have been changed already - is this by design?
I can see this could be helpful but would it be possible to give the option to override current formatting of items (just font and size I mean) ?
or what do you think ?
I possibly havent thought it fully through yet - I mean it's easy to change current or selected items formatting via the context menu, and then all new ones will be with new default font, - but it's something to consider anyways!

Checkout Embedded Formatting. If you want to reset item font, checkout the Properties pane > Item Info > Item Properties > Font (or the ItemFont field)

Okay,
so the ItemFont field is "stronger" than the Grid > Options > Default Font

When I deleted contents of the ItemFont field and refreshed - the items showed as expected, i.e. as defined in Grid > Options > Default Font-/-Applies to Fields
