Hi,

I'd appreciate your help regarding the best workflow to cross-reference an item in InfoQube.

I've recorded my screen showing the procedure I'm doing (http://bit.ly/2ZQkfbk), which is lengthy and I'm wondering if there is a simpler, faster workflow to get the job done:

1- I selected and copy item (a) to be cross-referenced.

2- Paste item (a) into the cross-reference field (custom) of item (b).

3- Return to item (a) and copy the item ID.

4- Go to item (b) again, pasting the ID as a hyperlink.

Thank you very much,

Carlos

Hi Carlos,

Under Edit > Copy, you have Copy as a Hyperlink. Paste in your text column. Details here: 2. Edit Menu

It would be nice if there were a Related Item relationship in InfoQube.  For references, see also, etc.

I have never used tags ever anywhere, but would be curious to know what might be a specific use case for related items where a sub-group of tags would not answer. Something like 'rel_topic' or whatever.

Hi All !

Good news... in a record time, I was able to implement a new feature: Related Items
  • Related items are shown in the Properties pane, as a hyperlink
  • Right-click on the header to show all related items in the Scratch grid
  • The number of related items can be shown as a grid column
  • To add related items, simply mark items (Shift + Ctrl + M) and right-click on the Related Items header and select Add Marked Items
HTH !
