I believe the same would happen in Ecco. This is normal behaviour if your grid setting is Outline (normal). The other two display setting will give the desired display (flat list and Tree view)

p.s. What do you thing of the recent Ecco Pro clone work by Sally (after years of absence...) ?
I was not aware that Sally had started again! I haven't been following the Ecco mailing list for a long time. She tried it twice before but never got very far. I was an "alpha tester" in the fist go-around (around 2011; The second attempt was 2018)..
I just now checked the email list and see a flurry of activity... Have you tested the latest version? Is it fully functional? If it still only works like old Ecco, it would no no longer be adequate for me. I need the IQ features (despite the issues that I am personally having).
