Hi there,
 
I have been using InfoQube for 2 years now, at home as well as at work, and I am quite happy with it. With the latest improvements, it has improved a lot in terms of speed (it was slightly sluggish ultimately) and usability. However, I am really looking forward to the announced improvements (especially a fully working calendar with syncing functionalities!).
 
The reason I am posting here refers to the calendar...It simply does not work in my database. If I try to insert an appointment, the dialog opens, I can enter all data (Subject, Time, Recurrence, etc) and there is no error message. However, the appointment simply does not appear in the calendar neither does an entry in the appointments field exist....
 
Creating a new database file there is no problem, the calendar works fine. So the problem must be in my database file.

Anyone an idea what could be the reason?

Full implementation of the calendar - and in particular, having changes that you make in a grid show up in the calendar - is planned for release 0.9.25. See the Roadmap in Mantis - get there via 'Bug reports, requests' in the left-hand menu in the forum. I think it's fair to say that this is a VERY much awaited, wanted, desired, functionality!

Gregory, thank you for your answer. However, what I still do not understand is that in a newly created database, the calendar works fine whereas in my "old" one it does not work at all....
 
Is that normal, does this also apply to your database? Or are you able to create appointments within the calendar?

I can create items in the calendar however I reported a fatal error which has gone un-answered despite the fact that I have bumped it a couple of times.
If I focus on a calendar event & hit the delete key, IQ closes down. I have repeated this bug every time I forget its consequences.
BTW, this was not always the case. It was introduced in one of the newer betas; which one I cannot pinpoint

If anyone can send me an IQBase with a non-working calendar, I'll be able to fix it. I cannot reproduce it here. Same for Jan's problem. I was not able to reproduce it... I don't doubt that there is a problem, but it is difficult for me to fix it right now

BTW, another question: Since one of the last updates, the color-changing urgency field does not work anymore: If I enter a due date which urgency should show as urgent according to the date, the urgency field does not show anything.. I don't know if there is some problem with the formula...? Could you have a look on that in the file I am sending you? That would be really great.

the VBA code is now working fine, due to the last update and the color-coded urgency field is working fine as well. However, I am not sure whether the calendar problem I had is supposed to be fixed as well or whether it is planned to have everything regarding the calendar updated in one of the next updates.
 
Could you please give me an update on the calendar issue?

Sorry for the delays in addressing this issue. I've updated the repair function (Tools>>Database management>>Repair) to fix this issue.
