Last line in outline half visible or completely off the bottom of the screen

Submitted by Jon on 2011/09/29 10:47
I have meant to post this, but keep putting it off. I also though this was fixed some time ago.

If an outline becomes long enough to fill the screen and I continue to add lines, then the last line is partially or wholly hidden. I cannot see what is being typed until I adjust the outline. Very annoying.

Using version W.

Find

Submitted by Jon on 2011/09/29 09:04
1. If I search for an item throughout the file, I see the appropriate hits appear.
-BUT-
2. If I search for the same item and specify the current gid, no hits appear unless the outline within the grid is expanded enough to display the items. So, if the items are located several levels deep, but the outline is displaying two levels, no hits will register.

I think this behavior is inconsistent and wrong. If others agree, can this be corrected?

Group by two columns possible?

Submitted by mca1 on 2011/09/29 04:14
Hi all,

I just wondered if it is possible to group by TWO columns or only by one...
I am well aware of the way I can group my entries by one column (via the sort bar), but as far as it seems, I cannot group by two columns, right?

Example: My sortbar contains: [EntryStatus] -- [EntryType]]
If I group by that, my entries are only grouped by EntryStatus, no second group (EntryType) comes up.. Is this not possible by now or am I doing something wrong here?

Thanx in advance.

"Sortbar" sort criteria overides "textbox sorting" when opening grid, even if sortbar is hidden.

When opening a grid, if a sort criteria is in the sort bar, it'll sort according to that instead of the filter text box, even if the sort bar is not visible.
Don't know if this is by design or not, but it's not what I'd expect.
Thanks.

[EDIT :  Note that a refresh after the grid has loaded fixes the issue. The problem is there only when grid is first loaded]

Calendar window visual: User Preferences are ?

Submitted by Pierre_Admin on 2011/09/25 18:34
Hi,

I'm working on the visuals of the Calendar window. The initial thought was to reproduce that of the Google Calendar with, namely:
  1. Left pane, fixed width containing:
    1. Top-left: small month view
    2. Below-left: List of calendars (see details below)
  2. Right pane:Main calendar section would be the same as the current calendar, except supprting multiple columns in day-view (see details below)

List of calendars (item 1.2)

The IQ Calendar has a feature that Google Cal does not, which is that it can have more than one column per day when in dayview. So the section with the list of calendars could be like shown below.

Add IE 9 problem and solution to IQ User Manual <SOLVED>

Submitted by davet on 2011/09/19 10:04
Some program wanted IE 9 installed on my computer and before I could blink, IE 9 was installed...and I could not remember how to remove it. It took me an hour to find the post that showed me how to remove IE 9. Furthermore, new IQ users are not going to know that they will have problems with IQ if IE 9 is installed...and I suspect many new IQ users will already have IE 9 installed.

So, I suggest that someone add something to the Getting Started area in the IQ User Manual about the IE 9 problem and state that at some point IQ will no longer rely on IE to function. Then the manual should have a link to the Warning: http://www.sqlnotes.net/drupal5/index.php?q=node/2377

I see the warning is on the IQ download page, but I missed it there. So, I think it should be in the User Manual too.

Hierarchy Query

Grid with Full Hierarchy enabled

I ctrl+drag TLI's to become sub-items.
F5 to refresh - the items no longer show as TLI's.

I never did come to grips with Hierarchy and tend to avoid situations like this - should I use another setting if I want to see these items as sub-items *and* as TLI's?

I think this is a query that has cropped up before, so apologies if I repeating it...
