Wish list

Hi Pierre:

Some outstanding things I hope to see included in IQ.

1. Printing: A fit to page width option. Perhaps you could bug the grid supplier again.
2. URI: You said this is relatively easy, so it would be nice to see it soon.
3. Pop up lists: It would be great to be able to select more than one entry as you can in Ecco Pro. Of course this would be an option to the existing behavior.

Thank you Pierre.

Infoqube Navigation

Submitted by David_H on 2014/11/23 00:36
I first tried IQ I'd guess almost 5 years ago.  Loved what it was doing but ultimately abandoned it due Not to the complexity, I have 0 issue with a program that caters to power users, but due to navigation issues.  When I use software I want to be able to get where I want quickly, and be able to group main selections in a meaningful fashion (especially when I'm going to have 50-100 folders/grids).  I've grabbed a screenshot from Zoot but could have grabbed one from any of a hundred other programs, Outlook, Evernote etc...

Notice how the navigation on the left which allows the user to group selections.  Will IQ ever see anything like this to group and access grids?

Thanks

[How do I] Working with a (decreasing) Budget

Submitted by Tom on 2014/11/12 08:41
There's various possibilities here but I'll just give one example:

You have a budget of say, 5000
The available budget decreases as it gets used up - as you spend money and/or time.

Any tips here ?
A 'Budget' field could be an equation that subtracts the 'cost' columns from 5000.
But that solution seems to only work for one project then.

How could I do this for multiple budgets simultaneously ?
is there another way?

IQ loops/freezes on field defined using SQL SELECT

Submitted by Armando on 2014/11/06 16:18
Fields based on queries freeze IQ.
This was mentioned in this older thread to the  forefront  (IQ loops on field defined using SQL SELECT).

I hadn't used those in a while, but it happened 10 min ago and thought I should mention... even if only a few users are using those (they are quite powerful and helpful though!)

Here's the request that freezes IQ :

SELECT FirstName AS Responsable, IDItem FROM Adrsbook

All the above fields exist, of course.
