Text formatting in Floating Editor

Submitted by DavidF on 2021/04/16 12:07

hi,

I've been using the Floating Editor (ctrl-E) more recently, I find it handy when I want to have occasional access to the Document Pane for an item, but keep an overall view of the Grid. But there are some things it lacks compared to the Document Pane. E.g. text formatting. You can't independently set a format without selecting the text first. That is, I can't just press ctrl-i and have the next thing I type be italic, I have to type it first, then select it, then press ctrl-i.

InfoQube for beginners: Writing an outline

Introduction

Hello and welcome! Are you new to InfoQube? I'm a newcomer as well, and I wrote this guide to help someone like me who has no previous experience with InfoQube get up and running instead of getting stuck on the learning curve. InfoQube can be intimidating because it can do so much. It's easier to start by doing something simple and getting a feel for how it works.

InfoQube Beginners' Guide

InfoQube is so customizable that it can be daunting, at first, to know how to start. Kind of like the blank page anxiety for writers...

To help get started we've put together a collection of beginners' guides, many of which were written by actual users after they had experienced that "Aha!" moment.

Calendar Problem - Day Time Scale Setting

After updating to 117Pre9, the calendar in my EXISTING IQ Base displays hours from 12 AM to 12 PM, even though the Day Time Scale Setting is that hours should be displayed from 7AM to 10 PM - and I didn't change any IQ settings after the update!

However, if I make a NEW IQ base, the hours displayed in the calendar are indeed those specified by the Day Time Scale Setting, and changing this setting changes the hours displayed in the calendar accordingly.

Please help!
