Hi IQ Users !

In this next release:
  • New: Grids: Can specify the number of context parents to show (previously, only the immediate parent was shown)
  • New: Grids: Simplified hierarchy display. Show hierarchy ON/OFF.
If OFF, a flat list of items is shown (use "Grid Properties > View > Show expand buttons in flat view" to show/hide expand buttons)
  • New: Calendar: If an event is selected, left/right arrow keys select the previous/next event
  • New: Calendar: Copy/Paste events
  • Removed: Grids: Save Item state no longer exists.
  • Fixed: HTML Export sometimes fails to export correctly (HTML style bullets will bullets for all levels)
Stay tuned !

I'm surprise to not see old-time Ecco-Pro users jumping up and down. This has been on my todo list for years !!!

I'm not an Ecco user, but...  I can certainly see how it will be useful!
I wonder how many among us are  ex Ecco users.

Edit: BTW, I'm guessing that the simplified "hierarchy" option is a "Full Hierarchy" equivalent?

Full hierarchy still exist but will be renamed to be more meaningful, as both hierarchy displays are complementary and getting rid of one would limit some displays. See 1. Grid Display Modes
Basically, the change is to always restore item expand states when hierarchy is on

As long as I can still see all my items where they should be, without any magic formulas, all is fine.

Yes, I noticed this but have not had time to share my thoughts. I am among the Ecco users you have in mind. This is a most welcome addition - IQ users without an Ecco background will be quick to realize the benefits.

While you are on a roll, please consider allowing multiple selections from drop down lists (Ecco has this capability if you configure the folders to display their sub folders). If this will screw things up, forget it.

Not entirely sure what this means ... does this mean that if the found item is a fourth-level subitem, IQ can be configured to show its parents at levels 1, 2, and 3?

What about an item that has multiple same-level parents?

Yes, that's exactly it.
In the grid, IQ always displays the main parents. Other parents are shown in the property pane (in an inverse hierarchy fashion)
