Hi IQ Users,
While users keep testing, a few more fixes are now available. In this release (v0.9.26PreRel67) :
- Fixed: Improved support for Unicode characters, including asian
- Grid font must either be blank or set to an Unicode font, such as @Arial Unicode MS (Manage Grid > Options > Default Font)
- The default grid font must also be set to a Unicode fond, since it is used by such things as the docking pane caption font
- The HTML pane content must have the proper META tag in the HEAD section. This one works:
<META content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" http-equiv=content-type> - The NewHTML.HTM file should also have this META tag. I've updated the one supplied with IQ. You should copy this to your user folder and re-start IQ
- To test, on a new item, in the HTML pane, turn on Code view and see it the tag is there
Known issues:
- Bold, Italic, Color, etc commands will corrupt your text. You can still enter formatting codes by hand.
- In the grid, do not start editing by simply typing.Press F2 instead. If you just type, it will corrupt the Unicode
- There may be others, keep an eye open and report back
Those that do not need Unicode support, should probably stick with v66 as it hasn't been tested thoroughly..
