MSWord is a great word processor, but generates horrible HTML
 
If at all possible, please:
  • Use the build-in rich text editor, or
  • Use the Paste from Word button on the toolbar and check Ignore Font and Remove Styles
  • Use MSWord but save it as Web Page, Filtered
