Version 0.9.26Pre-Rel8 is now available !

In this release:
  1. New: Grid > Save As to create a copy of a grid
  2. New: Fast Search: Option to show results in the search grid using an SQL string (normally, it shows a list of items). Combined with the new Grid > Save As, this allows fast creation of smart grids
  3. Fixed: Grid sometimes opens completely empty
  4. Fixed: IE10 compatibility fixed. See HTML Pane not working in Win 8
  5. Fixed: pressing Enter to start sibling item
  6. Fixed: EmailToIQ: Item text parsing included the first field (e.g. ItemText #Inbox instead of just ItemText)
  7. Fixed: Win+hotkey sometimes shows a message box containing the URL of the captured page
  8. Fixed: Partially visible column to the left of the current focused column may incorrectly be selected
  9. Changed: Behaviour on linking 2 or more files with same name: : The .lnk file will now have  "_[xxx] appended to the file name

Outlining styles were pushed back a bit,
IE10 compatibility was priority number one as Microsoft is pushing it to all Windows 7 users at this very moment...

Thanks Pierre
just got offered IE10 on windows 7 updates yesterday, so good timing

IQ Editing now working for me: IE10 / Win 8.  But for some reason I can comment on this forum using chrome but not IE 10/Win 8 combo. Anyone else?

I prefer Chrome but Chrome for Win 8 doesn't allow me to zoom screen w fingers.

Email to IQ working EXCEPT the item is blank, while HTML content is present as expected. This is new development since Win 8 / IE 10. On my Win 7 / IE 9 this is not an issue.

Also some of the IQ shortcuts don't seem to be working but that could just be particular to my machine.

"I prefer Chrome but Chrome for Win 8 doesn't allow me to zoom screen w fingers."
@Jan : strange you're saying that as I just switched to Chrome because its zooming and scrolling smoothness is head and shoulder above firefox.
Firefox was extremely choppy and unbearable. Not to mention that flash is implemented differently and is S-L-O-W on firefox -- I found the fix though, so if you have the same problem. Chrome is a much better experience, generally speaking. Of course I miss some add-ons and I'll have to go back and forth between both.

@Pierre : the "email to IQ" bug has been partly fixed ; however, the subject (item field content) is now entirely deleted if no "#" or "@" is included in the string...

 Hi Armando.

I reported the email to IQ problem we've experienced via Google + & he said (yesterday) he was uploading a fix in an updated pre-release 8 (hard for me to tell if he's actually done it)

I agree Chrome is better than Firefox. Apparently Chrome comes in two flavors: desktop or Win 8 mode. I've got it in Win 8 mode but to zoom I d/l an extension that allows me to use <ALT>+ to increase font size. How do you accomplish zoom.

The nice thing about using IE10 (something I never thought I'd say) is that I can zoom with screen gestures, i.e. using my fingers in Win8. Don't think I can do that in Chrome Win8.  OTOH, I can't post to this forum using IE10 (also reported to Pierre) so I'm on Chrome at the moment.

I've now updated it to v0.9.26Pre-Rel8A with this fix (EmailToIQ not setting Item text correctly when no field tags are on the email subject line)

re Chrome zoom: Strange, pinching works on my Win 7 PC for all browsers, Chrome included !

Pierre, Thanks for 8a update.

I can only pinch in IE10 on my Win8 machine.

When I try to post to this forum via IE10 the comment box with all the icons never opens. However, there is a little data entry area which I can input data but when I publish there is an an error msg "comment required" or something like that & whatever I wrote does not appear.

Pierre, maybe you can ask whoever is hosting; this must be an IE10 issue. I can't imagine it's a machine issue but what do I know....

Let's see if other Win8 users are having this issue. I can post no problem with Win7+IE10 ...

I'm having the same problem as Jan with IE 10.
Fortunately I don't use IE 10 !

I'm now a chrome user until firefox gets its acts together -- which might never happen.

Thanks for the new version BTW. Not tested yet, but will do....

That's fun ; it works well.

"New: Grid > Save As to create a copy of a grid"

I'm not seeing the option. I tried resetting the grid context menu, but still not seeing it. What should I reset without having to reset everything to default ?

Likewise - it is also not visible in the Grid listing under 'Customise Commands'

That looks great - I havent really applied it practically yet but I surely will.
Thanks Pierre

For anyone that hasnt seen it:
that's available via the drop-down menu [Show items in a new search grid] when you search (Ctrl+F)

My mistake... I did not include the updated menu file. This is now fixed. Users should download and re-install.
