Can someone confirm that there's no way to create a hyperlink to an item in another database?  I re-read the user manual and couldn't find anything.

Right now, I'm looking at linking to the other database, then using a second link there to take me to the target item.

Hi Wayne,

I can confirm that you can link to an item in another IQBase, using universal links (available since v108)
  1. Select an item and do Edit > Copy > Copy Item URI. It will put something like this into the clipboard:
    IQ://C:\Users\User1\Documents\SomeIQBase.sndb/items/20516
  2. In another IQBase, create a hyperlink and paste the clipboard content into the link target
Details here: Hyperlinks

Just tried this for the first time and have been unable to get it to work.  When I click the link, nothing happens.  When I test the link in my browser, it returns "search...did not match any documents."

Heres the URL: IQ://D:\__Primary\_A%20Files\Climate%20Change.SNDB/items/32542

The above info is correct for the file, but it can't find it for some reason

Tried other links and other files with same negative result.

Pierre,

Thanks, that did it. Didn't know there was a separate installation component required.

It's the same for pdf and outlook URI protocols (i.e. links). These aren't automatically registered
