P.S. : Pierre, would it be possible to announce that through a simple e-mail sent to all members (or at least those who are the most active...) ? Or maybe post a sticky in "What's New"... But that is probably impossible. In any case, the idea is to inform that the feature now exists.

After installing 0.25E I suddenly had PreRel16 loading immediately afterward - and telling me the date was about to expire (now it says has expired).

I found the old version still on the computer and deleted it - but I still get the message!

I have unpinned it from the Start menu and repinned it again. Still have the problem.

When I close 25E 16 shows up again - and it is hard to close - comes up with the beta expired message again. Sometimes a window where I have to tell it again to close.

However, data I entered into 0.25E still seems to be there when I open it again.

Are there rogue registry entries? - shouldn't be because I use the portable install option.

[IDEA] "Sort sub-items... etc." in Properties pane fields' context menu

 

I often want to sort sub-items by a field which is not showing in the grid. I was hoping this could be done via the properties pane.

 

Could "Sort sub-items ascending" (etc) be shown in the context menu of fields in the Properties pane? This would then sort the sub-items of the item currently 'displayed' in the properties pane

 

I guess (in theory) it should only show when an item is selected which actually has sub-items (or maybe I'm being too perfectionistic?)

 

This is an old bug.

When I click on "Sort sub-items ascending/descending" from the context menu in the grid, not only does it sort subs but it also shows all sub-items (i.e. : Even those who shouldn't appear in the grid for various filters reasons...)

In version 9.25E. After I search/hoist in the current grid, when I turn hoist off, i don't came back to the same state or grid -- now all the items I had expanded are folded in. Is there any way to set it up differently.

Some of these bugs are serious : items disappear and loose current parent linking.

 

I 9.25E version, all the field which had  hrad return don't show, unless I open that cell and close again.

 

For example:

Apple

Grape

Carrot

 

 will show as :

AppleGrapeCarrot

 

(Unless I open that cell and close it again. Is there any way to do it all at once for all the cells?)

Lots of bugs appear in the "What's New" page.

No worries : most aren't new...  Only, I've done some Fall cleaning so that Pierre can make better use of Mantis.

 

So, for the next 2 weeks, after discussing it briefly with Pierre, I'm going to try this strategy (for future bugs and suggestions only...

as the title says : properties pane --> if you click on the "Tree" check box on the title bar of the "All fields" section, IQ crashes.
