Getting a release ready is always a very exciting moment for me, and it is sometimes hard to take the time to describe in detail the new features and bug fixes that are included...

 

So, I'll now take the habbit of creating a What's in xxx thread first, where features / bug fixes are added as they are accomplished. This will provide advanced information to you, IQ end-users and hopefully, better documentation.

 

Initially, I'll turn comments OFF for this thread, so users know that updates are coming from me. Of course, users are welcomed to create new threads to discuss any of the issues.

Back to v0.9.25E.:

Adding field-values in the properties pane often caused it to scroll, which made it ackward to use. This has been improved.

So, basically, none of these links work at the moment.

 

To reproduce :

1- select some item text.

2- create a hyperlink to a grid name (e.g. : Journal.... <a href=Journal>.... </a>)

3- click on it : IQ crashes.

 

Haven't tried all types of links. Could be that there are problems with other types of links.

While I was fooling around with this bug (Grid items back color ), IQ eventually froze, etc.

And I lost all filter history for my task grid. First time this happens. And I wonder how...

Are grid filters saved somewhere accessible?

 

(Of course, I could probably recover part of it using drop box... But that's not the point...)

Each time I want to modify the row equation in the "Date" field (and probably other fields, but I haven't tested), I get this message :

 

"Date is a reserved field name..."

 

And all changes are reverted to old values. I tried with a few other fields and it doesn't seem to happen.

It does not appear in the property pane & I don't know where to look for it.

In docked properties pane

user focus on any item in grid

user opens form in property pane

user clicks on left most icon (create new item)

new item is created but item line in form retains info from last item

 

The property pane resets itelf after each entry on my forms. This makes it necesssary to scroll back to where I have been which, in my opinion, is not desireable because it interrupts workflow.

When I open and use the manage forms pane, then close it, then re-open it, it is totally blank. This is repeatable on alll my computers (XP, Vista, 7). The only way to regain accesss to the pane is to close and re-start IQ. Needless to say, this is a pane pain!

P.S. I have seen this on 25C and 25D. I don't know if it happened with other releases.

 

EDIT: Update - I tested this some more.The described behavior sometimes occurs with the sample database. It always occurs with the databases I have created. Point is, it should not happen at all.

My HTML dissapeared. Now when I tried to put it back it goes under grid, actually overshadowing part of it, and I can't get it back to the side. I might forgato something.

Shortcuts created using the right Alt key "AltGr" key dont work here (German keyboard)

 

The AltGr key shows as Ctrl+Alt (as it should), I can save the shortcut but it doesnt work using the AltGr key. It *does* work using the Ctrl and Alt keys.

 

I coincidentally tried this out for the first time after the latest install (9.25C) so not sure if this a new problem or not
