Manage Grids dialogue

Submitted by Jon on 2010/03/25 19:35
I don't know if this is a bug or a limitation. The Manage Grids dialogue is fine on my Vaio notebook, but needs to be re-sized smaller on my netbook. I can drag the top of the box and it appears to be re-sizing, but it does not. The bottom runs off the lower portion of my screen. Any ideas?

Looking for documentation on Formulas/Equations

Submitted by dtsig on 2010/03/24 21:25
Where can I find some documentation on equations.  Specifically functions available and what are the types?  A, E ... others?  What are A and E

Also where the equations go.  There is an equation box and an edit line for row equation.  what is the difference?  when to use which.

I have been playing with ones i see posted like

A:DateChanged=int(now()) | E:DateChanged= | A: ItemColor="powder" | E:ItemColor="yellow"

which seems to be pretty powerful .. but how long until i put in a formula to format my hard drive by playing <G>

PS ... after the post i found

4.042 Equations, Rules, and Scripting

If there is more out there please point me in the right direction ...

Thanks

Displayed columns dialogue problems

Submitted by Jon on 2010/03/24 07:23
I am trying to use this dialogue to select several columns to display. If I select several columns, generally more than 8, the hourglass appears and the program locks up. I have to kill it with TM. This is intermittent and I cannot  replicate it at will.

The second problem is with using the scroll wheel to navigate in this dialogue. The scroll bar works, but the information does not scroll. This also seems to cause the scroll bar and the displayed information to lose synch. I can no longer use the mouse on the scroll bar to navigate to the bottom of the list.

Launch program (i.e. Acrobat) to open file with open parameters?

Submitted by ThomR on 2010/03/23 09:49
Hi. I'm wondering if it's possible to add a field to an item which executes a command? I'm able to open a pdf to a specific page if I enter [C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 8.0\Acrobat\Acrobat.exe /A "page=5=OpenActions" "C:\Users\Username\Desktop\Filename.pdf"] into my Windows 'Run' thingy, but I can't figure out how to get Infoqube to do this. Obviously, I can link to a file on my local drive in any number of ways, but it's the 'open parameters' that I'm inquiring about. Anyone have experience with this?

Thanks,
Thom

Pre-Rel 20 - HTML Pane data lost? *URGENT*

Submitted by jdonlan on 2010/03/23 08:52
Using Pre-Rel 20 /Portable I am find that entries in the HTML pane are not being saved. First I noticed it when re-opening a file, my entries were no longer displayed and on further checking they even seem to be lost when moving to another item and then back again. IT EVEN SEEMS TO BE LOSING EARLIER ENTRIES,, not just new ones.
Probably not related but all my preferences were lost when starting with Pre-Rel 20, for example, NOT opening previous file on startup and no "Recent Files" list.

Appointment Reminder 3 Issues

Submitted by dtsig on 2010/03/22 23:25
1) there is no "snooze" available.  The only option is to DISMISS ALL
2) should the reminder remind you at the time of the appointment.  I believe this is the way outlook works
3) Should the reminder window come to the foreground.  currently it is hidden by any 'active' window above IQ.  Possibly a better behavior would be to have a notification on the task bar.  "Window open needing attention"

I don't know what the expected behavior is for the Reminder portion.  Maybe these are more features than bugs

Thanks
