Move marked items

Submitted by WayneK on 2019/05/21 00:34
1) Mark top-level items
2) Right-click target item> add marked items as children
3) This gives you a new set of children, but also leaves all the marked items as TLI's.

Instead, I want to mark and move the items to child status, and remove their TLI status.  Can't figure out how to do this.

MHT edited in Word shows placeholder icon instead of picture on newer items

Submitted by KeithB on 2019/05/19 19:21
Just the last few days, I'm getting the MHT edited in Word showing an placeholder icon instead of a picture for newer items.
The example (recent)  MHT files shown were all producing results as shown in the picture..

On each, when I call up the external editor(Word), I get the "problems during load" message, problems came up in the following areas during load:
The missing file shown is in a non-existing directory, and was probably from some experimentation quite a while ago, and I've been living with that message for a while, so I don't think it's related to the picture visibility.

Once I click "OK", to get into Word, I get an placeholder icon for the picture of the MHT file.

Link text format

Submitted by WayneK on 2019/05/19 12:42
It's a universal standard, but I find the bright blue text color for links difficult to read, especially for
long lists of links.

Just changing the text to black is a huge improvement (I don't mind the underlining so much).  The only way I know to do this is to select each text passage one at a time and use the text color tool.  This is time-consuming for a long list of links.

Is there another way to do this?  I'm not suggesting a new feature, just wondering if there's a method I haven't thought of.

font attributes are reversed for individual items in a selection rather than applied to all selected

Submitted by LeftEccoForIQ on 2019/05/18 17:34
Say I have ten items, half of which are formatted as bold while the others aren't, and I want them all to be bold, I would expect that selecting all the items together and applying bold formatting to them would do the trick. Instead, IQ reverses the formatting for each individual item rather than all selected items. So the non-bold items will become bold and the others will return to normal. To have them all bold, I'd have to carefully select just the non-bold ones and apply formatting, rather than doing the 'batch' operation outlined above. Probably not intentional? Thanks!

Image pasted into HTML Viewer became corrupted. What is causing and how to prevent it?

Using IQ v0.9.113.
Confirming images getting corrupted in a different database than the one used in my first report.

Hi,

I'd appreciate assistance.
I'm using IQ v0.9.112 Portable.
I've been pasting many images from the clipboard into different items notes (HTML Viewer).
Today I revisited some items, and realized some of the pasted images are corrupted:

Tag Source Issue

Submitted by WayneK on 2019/05/16 12:27
Problem: grid with tag source displays unwanted duplicate TLI's.

1) Create grid with tag source; context parents = 0
2) Grid displays all items assigned to tag
3) Organize items under new headers (TLI's).
4) Grid now shows a clean list of headers with tagged subitems
5) Refresh grid
6) All items that have parents elsewhere now reappear as TLI's (while still appearing as subitems, too)
7) Doesn't affect items that are TLI's in their source grids.  They remain under their headers and do not show duplicate TLI's

For comparison, I set up a regular test grid:
1) Assign a sample of the tagged items to the grid; context parents = 0
2) Organize items under new headers
3) Refresh grid
4) All items remain under their new parents and

Columns showing color

Submitted by WayneK on 2019/05/15 16:33
I want to create a default setting for text font, color, and background color.

There's an option for this, but then when you create a new grid, the default is set to "all" instead
of the setting from options.  Doesn't that make the options setting pointless since the grid is
created with a set default that's not affected by the options setting?

Is there some way around this?

My suggestion:

Change grid default setting from (blank = all; -1 = default), to (blank = default; -1 = all)

Doesn't that make more sense?
