How do I create link in windows (shortcut) that would open a specific grid in IQ or specific item in IQ with its subitems?

 I've added a Release Notes page to the User Manual at Release Notes. I basically just copied and pasted Pierre's last couple of updates over there. Since the changes are usually not reflected right away in the documentation I think the release notes will really help..

 

I'm hoping we can keep it updated going forward and eventually backfill it as well.

 

I was also thinking we could eventually use this page to also indicate when changes have been updated in the documentation. If someone does update the documentation to cover one of the items (or its already in there), maybe they can put "[documented]" at the end of it. Or maybe just switch it to italics?

 I thought I would share a tip on searching the site with google (or really any site). In Google search just use  site:www.sqlnotes.net/drupal5/index.php plus your search criteria, for example named filters site:www.sqlnotes.net/drupal5/index.php would search for named filters.

 

It's much, much faster than searching using the IQ search box. Note there is a slight chance a page may not have been indexed by Google yet.

I was thinking about how I work and wondering why there isn't a program that works the way I want to.  My wish list of a program would have the following attributes from these programs:

 

Does anyone know what's going on in the development front? Pierre seems to be quite absent as of late. I see more people migrating to Zoot from Ultra Recall & the Ecco community. I'm happy for Tom Davis who seems to have a constant presence & loyal following but frustrated for what it means (or doesn't mean) for InfoQube.

I sometimes have to link two different files with the same name to IQ.

IQ very intelligently creates two different *.lnk files

It adds a '1' at the end of the second shortcut file name ('2' at the end of the third etc.).

 

My problem with this is that I'm linking files with names like F245.

First one is F245.lnk

Second becomes F2451.lnk

 

This is a bit of a spanner in the works for me, in that I am working with numbers between 1 & 3,000.

So F2451 refers to something completely different than F245.

 

So, I was wondering if you would be able to somehow different

I have several predefined drop down fields that work fine in the grid, but will not drop down in the properties pane. This is with pre-7. I tested the same database with 09.25W10 and the drop-downs in the properties pane work as expected. I think this is a bug with the properties pane in pre-7.

 

Pierre, do you see this?
