Problem with "saving" in the HTML pane when : MHT content + itemHTMLtext is null

Submitted by Armando on 2010/01/29 14:12
I need to do that ("save" in the HTML pane) with many of my items because in the past many items were saved in the DB with their link to their respective MHT files, but without any content in the itemHTMLtext field... Which makes it impossible to search for certain items content.

This wasn't a problem until the latest release.

1- focus on an item linked to an MHT file
2-  press "save" to fill the itemHTMLtext field with some data

You should get a message asking if you want to replace the current content with the content of the previously focussed item.
Which isn't right, of  course.

I can attach a screencast if the explanation isn't clear.

Copying from word to grid

Submitted by jsolka on 2010/01/29 10:23
I don't know what I've done, but now when I copy text from word to grid I got:

<span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif";
mso-fareast-font-family:"Times New Roman";mso-ansi-language:EN-US;mso-fareast-language:
EN-US;mso-bidi-language:AR-SA'>WALNUT &amp; GLASS PARTITIONS INCLUDING (21)
SINGLE WALNUT VENEER S.C. DOORS TYPE A IN WALNUT FRAMES &amp; (2) WALNUT</span>

instead of:
GLASS PARTITIONS INCLUDING (21)
SINGLE WALNUT VENEER S.C. DOORS TYPE A IN WALNUT FRAMES &amp; (2) WALNUT

Thanks,
Jay

Annoying bug returns : when changes are applied to several items at once : dialog to apply change loops - IQ eventually crashes

That one was long gone... Unfortunately I saw its ugly face tonight. And unfortunately it seems to happen randomly. These are the worst.
So if someone figures out some pattern, please post it here.

<SOLVED>Browsing away from some HTML content (not MHT file reference) in the HTML pane erases the previous content ?

Browsing away from some HTML content in the HTML pane erases the previous content ?
...Seems like it.

This doesn't happen with MHT content.

1- Select an item with some HTML content where there are some web links
2- Go into browse mode
3- Click on a link -- this will bring you to the web page.
5- Now it's impossible to go back to the original content :

a- URL toolbar arrows will bring you back to other pages, other items, etc. but never to the actual original content
b- Impossible to go out of browse mode : the button its stuck -- at least here.

"Can delete on item move" (inheritance) is half fixed - problem when parent link removal.

Submitted by Armando on 2010/01/28 17:30
Of course this isn't strictly an "item move" per se, but I think it should apply.

1- Select a subitem affected by inheritance,  and delete a parent link (right click : remove parent link -- or use the properties pane... hopefully these 2 will have the same effect, exactly)

2- the sub-item will keep its inheritance with the now defunct parent (ie : even if it has nothing to do with the previously inherited field anymore).

One could argue that it should keep it. Yes, that's why that the option can be set to "not" delete on item move... ;)

Mantis : 861

ctrl-Drag & Drop item from one grid to another, as a subitem : *field inheritance* of the new parent is not transmitted

Submitted by Armando on 2010/01/28 17:21
1- Open 2 grids : one with a source which field has inheritance ON (grid A) and another one (grid B)
2- Ctrl-drag and drop an item from grid B to grid A, under a TLI.

Field inheritance isn't transmitted.
