Sortbar - ability to clear it? (M)

Submitted by Tom on 2011/04/14 09:09

Now that the SortBar remembers sort for a grid, I'm wondering if there's an easy way to clear it's contents :-)
What's happening here is that I add more & more columns to the sortbar but never remove any (yes, call me a lazy beggar )

In terms of the actual sort, only the first couple are making a difference - but I guess the others could simply be slowing things down?

Oddly enough, if I right-click in an empty space in the sortbar, I get the context menu for the current selected item (not sure what happens if nothing is selected).
This is not bad as such, but unexpected...

Hi IQ users !

There were just too many changes to be included in v0.9.25P4 that I decided to bundle it into v0.9.25Q. :

Finally synced telephone & tablet (Android) future of IQ? (M)

Submitted by jan_rifkinson on 2011/04/13 14:53
I can't tell you what a relief this is for someone like me who probably would have been diagnosed ADD GHIJKL & M had they known about it 60 yrs ago. :-)
So whether I'm at my desk, in my little office, in the house, on the road, etc., I have synced a bunch of stuff.
IQ is not one of them altho I know Pierre is hard at work on google / IQ calendar sync (which will be extremely helpful)
Some thoughts

Android has overtaken Apple iPhone
so it definitely has eclipsed MS phone

how / what could / would be IQ's future in Android -- if any?
I just offer this up for discussion as my guess is that Android will be dominate (mobile OS) for some time to come

Anyone w any thoughts / comments on this as it applies to IQ?

Not trying to make MORE trouble for Pierre.

Merely curious.

Last item entry

Submitted by Jon on 2011/04/12 15:07
I have a problem when I get to the last line of the grid. The grid must be full and additional entries will have to be scrolled to be visible. I hit enter to create a new item and can start typing the new item, but the item is hidden (it has not scrolled up). Can this please be fixed?

Using P3.

Thank you.

Suggestion to remove "New User Gotchas"

Submitted by davet on 2011/04/11 07:30
I think the "New User Gotcha" section adds clutter and confusion...in other words it too is a new user "gotcha." As a new user, I'd look at that and think is would be tips on how to avoid things that would trip up a new user. This section of the manual is not about that...or if it was, it is not anymore because Pierre has fixed all these issues with the exception of "Split Buttons." And I'd like to resurrect that issue for more discussion when I can get around to it.

Suggestions for Home page changes

Submitted by davet on 2011/04/11 01:30
These are changes I made to the page below shown below.
  1. I added a period on bullet 5.
  2. I removed the word "Click" from "Click here" on bullet 9 for consistency.
  3. I added bullet 10 on bug reporting, as I had a difficult time finding this procedure.

Gantt chart date and Task ID problems v.0.9.25P3 (M)

Submitted by davet on 2011/04/10 18:06

  1. Entering and End date that is earlier than a Start date draws a Gantt bar (illegal operation)
  2. You can manually enter a Task ID (Would be better if it were write protected and auto generated) See comments below.
  3. Task IDs do not show until a dependency is made. (Task ID should show when task is created)
