This seems like a grrrreat release. All the enhancements really improve usability.
Haven't tried the conditional hierarchical operations yet... This is for tomorrow morning. It will be extremely useful and I already know where I'll use it : for gantt charts calculations, finances, etc.
Minor conflict between Grid>>Save Item state and Hoist. Fixed
Remove parent link from the properties pane does not always work. Mantis 0134.
Hoist ON-OFF button is now consistent with others (such as the Column filter button). Acts as both a button and a menu. Click toggles state. Sub-menu is to select the Hoisted items.
Thanks for this release! The new copy options finally make it possible to copy whole trees including the hierarchy structure within IQ or into excel. And hoisting as well as the conditional calculations seem pretty helpful as well.
However, my calendar is still not working even after I perform the repair routine. Do I have to do anything special apart from clicking repair?
When I try to send an e-mail using the prescribed config, it doesn't work... that's ok, we can look at that at some other point (although it would be nice if others could tell me if it works for them...!)
BUT, this dialog stays there for ever and doesn't go away.
I think the new calculation logic has introduced a new (crash) bug, at least for me. I've traced the crash to the following:
I have some calculated fields that work both horizontally and vertically, e.g. a ProgressDate column that is shows the last progress update date for an entry, where progress updates are children, with the field [Progress] set, or are a meeting or other relevent update.
So the [ProgressUpdate] field does a horizontal calc of: =IIF(Progress or Type="Meet" or Type = "Call", [DateStamp], ProgressDate)
The [ProgressUpdate] field also does a Max vertically, so you can see entries when they last had a progress update, without having to look at them all.
This worked fine, until 24H, but now crashes IQ. When I remove the vertical sum on this field, the crash on insert of anything goes away.
I'm going to try & work around this, but could you please look into?
The On/Off buttons for code + the new column in field properties to indicate that fields have code are great additions. This is going to be very handy !
see where the mouse arrow is (column with icon & showing tooltip) - that's the new column to indicate if field has code (Equations - anything else I not sure)
And you cant miss the on / off buttons on the right there !
[edit] with apologies if you know all that already Jan !!
a practical example of use I cant give you - at the moment at any rate - maybe someone else can chip in & we could add it to the manual) [/edit]
Highly unlikely given my lifestyle & -- in fact as of yesterday doctor appt -- it is being treated as bacterial rather than viral. Whatever it is, it sucks big time but I'm beating it; it's just such a damn a slow process & has sucked all the energy out of me. But enuf about me, the H1N1 version count would have been funny -- at least I would have laughed even in my condition. Everyone be careful, wash hands, etc. Thanks for good wishes.
I'm getting an error with the portable version - "Cannot load language file. Aborting" Also I notice that the zip file extracts to 131 files without any directories. Is that correct?
Thanks
Jack
What do you mean by page not found? Don't you see the link to the page 6.10 Grabbing, Linking and Clipping Web content (as in here: 1. Clipping Content from other Apps)

What he means is that the link leads to "The page cannot be found". Same thing here.
