How do I delete grids and sample data

Submitted by brnorman on 2008/12/24 10:15
I want to start a new file (database?) and delete all of the sample stuff.  I understand that a grid is basically a view and I can't seem to delete grid from the manage grids dialog (I right click delete and save but it is still there).

How do I delete a grid and all of it's associated data (assuming that data is not in any other grids)?

Good Day.

You cannot begin to imagine my happiness when I found about this Project. I've been using Ecco-Pro for many years now and quite happy with it's functionality; albeit antiquated.

Being a very strong supporter of the Single-Pane outliner model, which I find the most intuitive, I've been searching for years for a modern replacement and even being tempted to write one myself.

I'll be definitely getting on board with this project to help out and I will start transfering over my tens of thousands of nodes of ecco notes I've written over the years.

Thanks again for keeping the Ecco Outliner flame glowing =^)

Cheers,

Properties pane UI question

Submitted by KeithB on 2008/12/19 19:26
I noticed that the Properties Pane, when I right click on "Available fields:, says "Clear tagged list". I would have expected it to say "manage fields", similar to Forms (which says "Manage Forms").  Wouldn't it be more consistent to have the "Clear tagged list" available when right-clicking on "Tagged items" under Item Info?

HTML pane out of sync

Here's a screen shot showing the html screen not updating/syncing. As I page through the entries in my "inbox" grid, either by up/down arrow or by mouse, frequently (most of the time, apparently) the html for the current item will get stuck on the html for the prior item. Sometimes the error continues, so that when I go down another entry, its now showing the correct pane for the prior entry. It happens whether going up or down the items. Interestingly, the little bar at the top shows the correct (for the current id) text. Its the bottom html pane that gets stuck.

I've closed and reopened the grid, but that doesn't fix it.
