I don't know... It just seems that so many things are already answered in the manual...  Maybe if there was some "Search the manual" option somewhere (on the search page AND on the manual page, etc.) , it would help the users out there to use the manual.

 

Also : I always found the fact that the "search" text box is only available on the search page a bit strange. Most Web sites/forums have it at the top of almost everypage). Having it at the top of everypage would make the IQ community "menu/section" smaller (a good thing IMO), and would probably encourage searching. And, of course, a "search the manual" option would make it even easier to find answers.

 

What do you think, users ?

I keep my IQ on USB memory stick. I use it at work and at home. However, when I try to back up, I get the message "cannot copy file so and so. The parameter is incorrect." and this messes up the whole back up process. I think it's there are different paths on each computer, but still, I would like to be able to back up all the data all at once without picking what ever files I wnat to back up. What is the best way to do it?

How?  I have a date field, and want to have another field that gives the day of the week of the date field.    9/11/09 --> Friday. 

 

1- Open one grid only

2- Select an item with MHT "content"/link

3- Open HTML pane

4- Close the grid.

Quick search display does not include "Shown In" data on my machine

no filter from that column is engaged

Created a new grid view

In Grid Properties > Data

I clicked data entry space (Instructions say use comma separated list) to add auto assigned fields

Unless user knows fields by memory, this does not work here

using drop down box replaces, does not add field after comma

 

Either a bug, some deep IQ GUI mystery or I'm doing something wrong.

I admit I don't know too much about searching. I've always used  just the quick search mode.

 

What would be the best way to deal with the fact that in search grid only certain columns are displayed, and not necessarily the ones that are needed?
