Items in InfoQube

In InfoQube, the term item is used to refer to a piece of information. When displaying the item in a grid as in the above picture, an item is a row. In other types of views, such as the Calendar, Surface, Mindmap, Timeline, etc, items will have different visual representations.

Version 0.9.26Pre-Rel6 is now available !

In this version:

  1. Fixed: More robust method to save grid column list (see Disappearing columns are still with us. v9.26 pre-release4&5&6 ** VERY ANNOYING ** PLEASE FIX THIS !!! )
  2. Fixed: Field formatting (such as custom date formats) was broken in the previous version (see not working ??)
  3. Fixed: Split item and Join items menu items were always enabled. Now, they are only enabled when applicable
  4. New: New dialog when joining items. Option to merge the HTML content. Option to keep only the joined item. Merging HTML is particular useful when grabbing Web content. Multiple grabs can then be combined into a single item

Enjoy !

Grid control isn't handling high DPI settings in Windows

Submitted by reesd on 2012/12/02 11:01
I just upgraded to a Retina MacBook, unfortunately that is leading to pain with various apps not being able to handle the high pixel density. Unfortunately InfoQube seems to be one of them. At least when running in Parallels, but I suspect it would happen when running in Boot Camp with high DPIs as well.

It seems the Grid control is getting confused and not properly setting the row heights when the DPI setting is high. So all the text being chopped. See the attached screenshots for examples.

Here is a general article on Window DPI:

And I found thisdeveloper  article that maybe you want to pass on to the Grid control vendor...
