How do I import data into fields that is assigned to existing items?

Hello everyone,

I've been looking at importing data via CSV files, for my use case of creating a personal CRM.  I want to import data from various old sources into my database.  To start, I have an excel file containing names, email addresses, etc.  The first time I import this list, each item gets created and assigned an Item ID.  So far so good.  Now I want to import additional data to these items, and that's where I'm getting stuck.

If I have a second list containing other or updated information related to the same names, I want to be able to assign them to the right Item IDs.  I can get the right Item IDs by exporting the InfoQube grid, so I know which ID matches which name, and get the information properly lined up inside excel and the CSV file.  However, the import CSV function will not allow me to add/update existing information having IDItem as one of the import fields.

Google Calendar Events cleanup after deleting Google link.

 Hi,
A few weeks ago I was experimenting with Google sync.  I had the sync type at "View/Edit Events".  I decided I didn't want to use it in IQ until later.  After I was finished experimenting I deleted the Google link and now when I was cleaning up my database I noticed in properties I had over 500 events.  I was trying to clear these out but noticed they weren't "Items" and found in the manual under "Events not linked to an item" and how it can only be viewed in calendar and not in grids and other UI.

I was going month by month deleting them and think I got them all (all I can see anyway, and that's even checking many years previous) but it still shows I have over 500 events in properties.

My question is this, is there a way to view all events in a list or somewhere or just how do I get rid of them since they're not items.

Speed of keyboard navigation in the grid

When I use the up and down arrow keys to navigate up and down items in the grid, this happens rather very slowly and when I hold down one of the arrow keys for a while and the keystrokes are buffered, it often happens that the cursor keeps on going up or down for a long time after I let go of the key. My hardware is above average, I would say, so I'm wondering if there is anything you could do to make this type of navigation more usable. Maybe a few milliseconds' delay could be implemented to check if the focus moves on to another item before updating the properties pane and whatever else IQ does under the hood when a new item receives focus?

Cheers!

'Flickering' of the grid when moving items via keyboard shortcuts

A very minor quibble: In any of my grids when the items extend beyond the bottom of the visible area so that a scrollbar is shown for the grid, when I scroll the bar so that it is not quite at the top but a single notch (drag bar with the mouse or do a single downward click with the scroll wheel) down from the topmost position, when I then use Alt-Up or Alt-Down to move items around, some nasty up and down-scrolling will occur in the grid each time the item is moved up or down a spot.

[fixed] "Error" beep sounds on opening database

I am using the newest version 0.9.115d, portable.  When opening a new database (either the Welcome database or one of my own), I get an endless loop of Windows error beep sounds. The only way I have found to stop it is to click on the Live-search grid.  Then I can go back to another grid and work without the beeping.  This is happening with both full IQ and IQ outliner, on two different computers, Windows 7 and Windows 10.

Newbie - How to setup my database?

Hi..

Total newbie here. I come from the ConnectedText (CT) world. Sadly, the developer no longer maintains it and I'm having issues running the program. So, I'm looking to switch to InfoQube (IQ). I'd like help on how to setup my database (DB).

I started a new IQ DB using a template as a base. Wow! So many different objects. Seems overwhelming. Maybe I just need to learn about each object, let it sink in, and wait for that Aha!
