"remove from this grid only"

I've wondered what is actually done when one selects Erase Item, and then "Remove from this Grid Only"

Presumably what it means is, if the grid has a simple source, like "ThisField (= Yes)", then "Remove from this Grid" would simply remove that assignment from the field ThisField.

I don't know what would happen if the Grid Source were more complex, involving multiple fields.

I have a grid "Journal2015" with the Y/N field "Journal2015" as the grid source.  As I suspected, "Remove from this Grid" removes the assignment of the item from the field "Journal2015", leaving other fields and their values intact.

Oddly enough though - after doing this, I did a Ctrl+F Live Search to find the item I had just de-assigned from the Journal2015 field.  It showed up in the Live Search grid, but the "Shown In

Excel Import

I'd like to import an Excel spreadsheet consisting of 1,900 rows and 7 columns.  I've spent a couple of hours reading the help page, looking at old threads, and trying different methods.  So far, I haven't come up with anything that looks reasonably simple and effective.

Importing looks like a time sink, which seems confirmed by several threads complaining about not being able to get it to work.

The ultimate solution would be the ability to simply open an Excel file in Infoqube, with all items automatically assigned to the appropriate fields.  This was discussed in a thread 5 years ago but I don't know of any progress on this idea.

A simple copy/paste would be fine with me but I can't get that to work either.  Ideally, if you had a spreadsheet with 20 rows and 5 columns, you could directly copy/paste it into a grid made of up 20 blank items and 4 fields.  I know that can't be

Clipper suggestion: grid selection

The more I use the clipper, the more I appreciate it, and the more I wish it were a little more efficient.  The thing that slows things down for me is the awkward method of selecting grid assignments.  You have to click on a pop-up list, then scroll down a long list of fields (grids) to select the ones you want.  For the next item, you have to repeat the process, and also find and uncheck the previously checked fields, if they don't apply.

Here are my suggestions:

1) Make the field list editable so the list can be shortened to make it easier to find selections.

2) Expand the list of permanent check boxes and make it editable.  Right now, two selections are displayed permanently (Inbox, Current Grid).  If we could expand and edit this list to maybe 10 grids, it would make things easier.  Most of the time, you could directly check and uncheck grids without having to open a

Calendar problem

Hi all

Been using IQ for several years. Fantastic program.
However, with the latest recent updates, the calendar won't hold repeating events. When I close and reopen the program, they are all gone. I don't use outlook or google calendars at all. AM I missing something?
Anyone else experiencing this? Can't find any posts on this subject.

Thanks, Don
