I seem to remember seeing a demo file at one time that had visible columns that could be collapsed and expanded.  I also seem to remember columns being stacked on top of each other.

 

Do these features still exist?  I have some columns I'd like to be visible so they can be quickly accessed, but prefer they take up very little space on the screen.  I right clicked on columns and also looked on the column menu, but can't spot any obvious commands that would enable me to accomplish these things.

I am certain that the answer to this question must be blindingly obvious or that it must have been answered many times previously, but I cannot find the answer just now. Is it possible to indicate that a date item should show in the calendar, and if so, how? Or is there any programmatic way in which to create calendar events? I have in mind that items with DueDate today would appear as appointments without a timeslot in the calendar for today's date.

I've just discovered how, when you right-click on an item, you have the options to "Show in Home Grid" and "Show in Scratch Grid".

 

Would it make sense to have another right-click option, to show the item in any other grid (whether currently open or closed) in which that item is or would be displayed?

 

Perhaps a "Show in Other Grid" option - when this option would be selected, IQ would test all the defined grids to see if the right-clicked item is or would be displayed in it.  Then IQ could present a menu of these grids.  The user would select one of these available grids.  IQ would then display the selected grid, with the appropriate item highlighted. 

 

Would it also be good to include "Show in Home/Scratch/Other Grid" as a right-click option for items listed in the Properties Pane?  (in the lists of parent, siblings, and children items).

I like the text highlighting in the binoculars grid.  How about also highlighting the search text in the Search grid, when I click the button to display items in the Search grid?

 

For that matter - it's a nice feature provided by the Ecco Extension for any grid - type the desired text in a little box, click the Highlight button, and it's highlighted whereever it appears in the grid.

When a user clicks the "Manage Grids" menu option, and the Manage Grids dialog box appears, I think it would be good if the current grid were highlighted immediately in the list of grids.  This would eliminate the step of locating and clicking on the current grid in the list of grids.  Right now it's just highlighting the top-listed grid in the Manage Grids dialog.

 

Right now I see several ways of getting to the properties for the current grid:

 

(1) Grid menu > Properties

(2) Tools menu > Manage Grids

(3) right click tab for current grid > Manage Grids

 

I think it would particularly make sense to highlight the current grid when the path selected is (1) or (3).

 

Right-click on empty space on column header does not pop up any menu for add/remove columns, as shown below:

 

 

I am perplexed. There are no filters active and I see the sub displayed correctly in the Scratch grid. Other sub items of this TLI are displaying correctly in the grid, but this sub does not. I have checked the property pane and all subs including the "missing" sub have identical properties except for the item contents and that this sub is displayed in zero grids. There are two ways i can get this sub to display correctly. One is to assign it to the grid. The other is to populate the sub item with children.

 

What am I not getting?
