Version 0.9.24 pre-release 9 is out

Submitted by Pierre_Admin on 2009/03/19 01:03
An annoying bug was found in pre-rel 8:
  • When closing a file, the currently opened grid could lose all columns (except the items column)
ALL users are urged to use the new pre-rel 9 version.

The following changes (w.r.t pre-rel 7) are included:
  • Use default browser when clicking hyperlinks in the HTML pane (in browse mode)
  • Status bar displays Hyperlink  when hovering over a grid hyperlink
  • DateFilter toolbar: Add AND logical operator: Now support Field1 AND Field2
  • File > New message: incorrect message that file already exists
  • Grid font size increase/decrease button problem
  • EmailDate field was incorrectly created as type Text
  • Field properties Options box was not wordwrap
  • Ctrl-C in the properties pane did not copy the field value to the clipboard
  • Parent hierarchy level display (1,2,3, etc)

export to a web page with HTML below the item

This thing seems to happen when I have hyperlinks in my grid. Here's the problem: I want to print (via clipboard of web page, doesn't mattr) with HTML below items. When I try to do this, the dialogue box: href=http:// etc. I need to either click "OK" or close it, several times. I don't understand that. How to avoid clicking so many times?

Installilng on Vista Home Laptopn

Submitted by jan_rifkinson on 2009/03/18 09:04
Somehow I think  I asked this question before but I couldn't find it searching the forum db.

I have a new netbook -- samsung / Vista Home -- runs on atom processor, plenty of memory, etc.

When I open IQ the splash screen appears then, disappears. Program does not open. Task does  not show an IQ process running.

BTW, this is the portable version. Maybe I'll try the exe file for installation? Could that be it?

iffy functionality

Pierre, on several occassions now -- circumstances I can only describe in the most gen'l way -- equations stop working, keys stop functioning, weird stuff happens.
A program re-start fixes it but still.

Example: I have  an equaiton (that you helped me with) that turns font a different color when item is marked done/completed

Yesterday, it stopped working in the middle of the day for no apparent reason
I've had <shft><enter> stop working  as well as <ctrl>+M
Yesterday, again, I had a number of sub-items disappear from view causing me some heart palpitations
Again, I restarted IQ & everything returned to normal

It's very weird & very disconcerting.

I know I'm not giving you much to work with here but the only thing I can say is it seems to happen if IQ is running for a long time, i.e.

Headings

I believe all items are "created equal".  Each item has every field.
If I choose to have various fields displayed, I find it confusing for those items intended to be headings.
I suggest a new "heading" class of item which has no fields (or at least the fields are not displayed).

HTML disappears

Hi,
Have just started trying out this program - something strange is happening.

Previously, if I typed text in the HTML window and moved to another item, the text would automatically get saved.  Now, the text shows in the HTML window title but is not showing in the window.

If in options I choose to "save a copy of the HTML/MHT file in the database" then the program functions as expected (but what was previously entered is lost).

What confuses me is that previously the option was not ticked and the program functioned as expected.

Any ideas?
