Format painter

Renewed request for a format painter:

1) Item #1 has bold, blue, italicized text, yellow fill
2) Item #2 has plain text
3) Activate format painter
4) Click on #1, click on #2
5) Item #2 now has bold, blue, italicized text, yellow fill

I use formatting extensively for tracking status of items (importance, work completed etc).  Would be a big time saver of tedious work not having to constantly go back to the toolbar to select individual format options.

General problems

I'm at my wit's end about what seems to be an unending stream of issues.  I am constantly  having to interrupt work to try to figure out why some kind of misbehavior is happening.

Yesterday I had a long sequence of text made up of big blocks of text.  I did dozens of splits to create a series of items of only a few lines each.

When I returned to work later, all of my splits had been partially re-done.  All the split items were there but all the items they were split from still contained the full text, too.  So I had to go in and delete the extraneous text in each item.

There have been many times that  I split items where a new item is created but the text also remains in the original item.  This, too, has comes and goes.

Just now I tried to create a grid with a column set to match another grid.  I loaded the column set for

Hey All,

I'm still a newbie to IQ so this is one of my first posts.  Hope you are staying safe and healthy!

I am requesting IQ users who how to make IQ sing via scripting - especially if you know something about Ecco+EE - if you would please jump over to the Ecco forum and talk about IQ's scripting abilities.

I can barely script in Ecco+EE and haven't touched that part of IQ, but I see that it is there.

Here is the thread.  You will have to sign up if you haven't.  Not hard.

OT: Print to PDF

Submitted by WayneK on 2020/04/24 19:49
Does anyone know of a print to pdf solution that will capture comments along with web articles?

When I do research and take notes in InfoQube I like to have a pdf copy of the original source so I can mark up which sections I've taken notes on.

For web articles, I select the text of the article and use Print>selection>print to PDF to create a pdf of the article.

Some of the articles have comments at the end which I want to include in the PDF.  For some reason, the pdf printer will not recognize these on some websites.

I've tried multiple pdf printers and all the top Firefox PDF addons, including screen capture software.  Nothing works correctly.

Does anyone have any other ideas to try?  Manual copy/paste and formatting of extensive comments is a pain.

Google Tasks or MS To Do ?

Hi IQ Users !

Google Tasks sync is now working quite well. How many or you are using it ? How many are using Google Tasks ?

The reason I ask, is that Google Tasks is so minimalistic, and seems to be evolving so, so slowly.

Microsoft To Do on the other hand is getting regular updates and has many more features... How many are using it ? Should IQ sync with it too ?

Link Title Missing

Submitted by WayneK on 2020/04/24 01:16
I have a long-standing problem with link titles not showing up when I drag a link from my browser into InfoQube.  It has always happened to some degree (maybe 10% of the time).  Just now it happened 6 times in a row.

Instead of inputting the webpage title automatically, it displays the title of the InfoQube file and I have to manually type or copy/paste the web title.

Any ideas on how to get this to work more consistently?
