Appearance of the connector lines in the hierarchical outline

This is a relatively minor cosmetic change, but I think it would make the appearance of the hierarchical outline a bit more intuitive. The attached before-and-after images show the change, which is subtle. First, the angle bracket (>), which is present when an item has subitems, is moved to the first line of the item (rather than aligned to the middle, as seen with items that wrap to multiple lines), and the line that connects the angle bracket to the bottom-most subitem is moved to the last line of that subitem (rather than aligned to the middle of that subitem).

[fixed] Grid shortcuts not displaying correctly

Submitted by Cyganet on 2020/05/15 05:24

Hi!
I was working with grid shortcuts this morning.
I used Tools > Manage Grids > Options > Shortcuts (ALT +) to assign shortcuts to three of my grids:

  • Emails ALT+1
  • Note to Self ALT+2
  • WebClips ALT+3

To my surprise, the View > Grids submenu shows these shortcuts as being assigned to Search, Tags and Journal (see screenshot).

When you press the shortcuts, they do lead to the grids that I assigned them to, so it's just displaying incorrectly. Can you please fix it?

When I start to reassign grid shortcuts, e.g. ALT+1 to Inbox, the grid list shows both grids assigned to ALT+1.

[fixed] Crash on displaying corrupt HTML document

Submitted by Cyganet on 2020/05/15 04:45
I tried to clip a webpage into InfoQube this morning. Evernote had failed to import it giving an error. InfoQube did manage to import it, but then would crash each time I tried to display the webpage in the document pane.

I managed to stop it crashing by closing the document pane, then deleting the item in the grid.

Here is the broken webpage in case you want to test it.

My color set

I thought I'd share my color set up in case someone might find it useful.  I like pastel colors for highlighting.  I created the maximum number of custom colors that still allow the InfoQube color chart to display at the bottom (which provides additional, stronger colors).

I think it's a decent set up, but still needs some tweaking.  Some colors are too close to other colors and at least one color is duplicated.

Here's what the selections look like overall:

  3. Grid scrolling is faster when not showing grid lines. Use alternating colors instead
  4. Grid scrolling is also faster when outline labels and cell text word-wrap are turned off
  5. For very large databases with complex filters Windows may flag the app as "not responding". You can increase the delay using this Registry tweek
