[fixed] "Error" beep sounds on opening database

Submitted by Cyganet on 2020/05/09 09:04
I am using the newest version 0.9.115d, portable.  When opening a new database (either the Welcome database or one of my own), I get an endless loop of Windows error beep sounds. The only way I have found to stop it is to click on the Live-search grid.  Then I can go back to another grid and work without the beeping.  This is happening with both full IQ and IQ outliner, on two different computers, Windows 7 and Windows 10.

Newbie - How to setup my database?

Hi..

Total newbie here. I come from the ConnectedText (CT) world. Sadly, the developer no longer maintains it and I'm having issues running the program. So, I'm looking to switch to InfoQube (IQ). I'd like help on how to setup my database (DB).

I started a new IQ DB using a template as a base. Wow! So many different objects. Seems overwhelming. Maybe I just need to learn about each object, let it sink in, and wait for that Aha!

Spell check: Can IQ suggest words in Portuguese (or in other languages than English)?

 Hi,
I'd appreciate your help.
As shown in the screencast (https://bit.ly/3cevxs3), the spell check for English language works properly, since it identifies the misspelled words, providing suggestion of the correct word to pick from the context menu.
For Portuguese language, the misspelled words are identified, however there is no suggestion of Portuguese words to pick from the context menu. All words suggested are English words.
Can IQ suggest words in Portuguese (or in other languages than English)?
Thank you,
Carlos

Half-screen vs Full-screen

I'd like to be able to switch back and forth between half-screen and full-screen views of InfoQube without having to re-size the InfoQube panes each time.
I work in two modes:

1) InfoQube displayed in one-half of the screen, and another program in the other half.

2) InfoQube displayed full screen, with one grid pane on the left and one on the right.

Ideally for me, it would work like this:

Full-screen Infoqube > switch to one-half screen view = InfoQube shows the left half of the full-screen view.  This allows you to keep working on the left pane without re-sizing.  Right now, it squishes both panes into one view, making both unusable until you drag the divider to the right.  Then when you switch back to full-screen, you have to drag the divider back to the left to see both pane

Import text files without File reference fields being filled.

 Hello,

Something I just noticed and bothers me.  When I import text files, it fills out the FileRef, FileFullName,FileName,FilePath fields.

It looks the same as if I link to an external file, without the hyperlink of course so it causes a little confusion to me especially when I have thousands of them.

I thought just the regular fields would be populated, i.e.
