Referencing relative file locations when using InfoCube on a stick

Love using the portable version, but I do have a problem referencing mht files that I create as I move the stick to different computers with different a different amount of drives or drive mappings. At the moment, I am building the database completely on a stick & the mht files also reside on the same stick.
At some point these mht files will reside in a fixed location on a network drive and perhaps I should have started out that way.

Until I get a handle on IQ, I'm using the Inbox for all my work.  However I added some fields.
One of them is 'Journal'
Journal is a boleean field yes / no
Back in the inbox I create an item with today's date & I add notes in the html window tthat describe my day
I check 'Journal'
Now I went to the current grid titled 'Journal'
I added a colum from my field 'Journal'
This column is not filtered, ie.

Refresh doesn't work for me

I'm not able to use Ctl-n to add data,or any other time if I need to refresh (F5 or toolbar) I have to completely quit InfoQube and restart it to see changes. Even if when working in a grid and use refresh and jump to another grid and then back I still have to completely quit InfoQube and restart to see changes. This isn't a show stoppper for me but it is kind of a pain. Anyone have any ideas as to why this is?
The Computer is a Dell Inspiron 1521 laptop.
