Field assignment using EmailToIQ

I have successfully used EmailToIQ, with fields "inbox" and "emails" assigned. But I have not been able to assign other fields such as "EmailDate" or "EmailSender", either using the "Auto-Import emails" field in options or by  adding keywords at the end of the email subject line.
I have tried sending emails via MS Outlook 365 and thru gmail but the assignments do not happen. Any suggestions?
 

'Move focus to parent / next higher level item' shortcuts

Ecco has these two useful shortcuts:
Move to previous item at level to left    CTRL + PAGE UP
Move to next item at level to left    CTRL + PAGE DOWN

They provide an easy way to move from a subitem to its parent or the next higher level item down the grid. Is there an equivalent in IQ? A workaround for the first one seems to be Up, Ctrl-Left, Ctrl-Right, for the second Ctrl-Left, Ctrl-Right, Shift-Alt-Down, but they're not particularly handy.

Problems with "Highlight focused cell" disabled

Pasting of any kind seems to be impossible with highlight cell disabled. (!)
 
With highlight selected cell disabled, the active cell flashes with the highlight background colour on selection. Is that intentional?
 
Highlight row header only seems to have the desired effect when entering edit mode.

Remove file extension from Item names when importing text files

This was posted by Pierre in another forum so copied it here for easier access and search for anyone looking for a solution.
As the subject says, this will take away the extension name from imported text files in the Item name.  Really great for if you have a lot of imports.
A tip for anyone starting out, when you get to instruction # 3 "Create a new text field", when you create the new field, go down to "Type" and change it from "Yes/No" to "Text".  You probably already know that.

This happens in both item text field and document pane.
When I clipper from other app, this problem also happens.

For example:

origin: 乱码指的是电脑系统不能显示正确的字符，而显示其他无意义的字符或空白，如一堆ASCII代码。这样所显示出来的文字统称为乱码。

Overview / dashboard / multi-view tab

 I've spent time attempting to master the "Dashboard" or "Overview Grid" concept.
 
Comments:
1) these are fantastic for opening multiple grids (and or/homepage,surface/calendar) simultaneously.
2) I currently have an overview_daily, overview_IQ, and overview_IQforum. I put the name overview in it, to easily call one or more from the omnibox.
3) To build a new overview,  I can easily do the copy of several grids via Tools>Manage Grids, since it's a modeless window. Otherwise, the other modeless way appears be to View>grids,  and "tear off" the views toolbar.
4) Auto-hide is great for making room to temporarily give lots of room for a specific grid.
 
questions:

1) for unloads, I haven't figured out how to reload, except by starting from search with a "copy grid" command.

Live-Search: tags column questions

 I have a few questions/suggestions about the tags functionality of the live search, which isn't documented yet that I saw, other than "Live-Search: Tags are now shown as a column" in a version announcement.

1) the functionality appears to be either a tag search, or a text search,  Please confirm there's not the capability of searching for text "awesome" in all text fields, and simultanously searching for tag movie and tag 2017.

2) Is there any keystroke to take you to the tags area, or any keystrokes to help navigate or pick the tags?

3) if I do a "logical or"  tag search, it's kind of difficult to see the tags I've searched for. It would be a nice to have some kind of visual indicator. Right now, on logical or, I see the tag 2017 checked near the top of my list, I can right click to see I did a logical or, but then I have to scroll down the current 741 tags to eventually see the tag movie checked

Auto-locking items based on item text

in a particular grid / folder, when I begin an item's text with a hash followed by a space, I want that item to be assigned to the 'Locked' folder automatically. Is there an auto-assign rule that will do that? (I haven't really used these in IQ at all, so please be specific or point me to any documentation.) Ideally, this should be executed once when IQ starts and whenever I finish editing an item in that grid.
