live search grid - highlight behvior and can't edit items - feature or bug?

Submitted by jimspoon on 2018/06/21 08:26
I keep forgetting to ask about this.  I've noticed a new behavior in the live search grids for quite some time now, can't remember which version I first saw it in.

I can no longer edit any items in the live search grid.  If I move the highlight to the Item column, it immediately jumps back to the numbering column at the left edge of the grid.

I'm using 108a portable.

Auto Add New Items to Hoist

Submitted by WayneK on 2018/06/20 19:45
Minor suggestion: I think any newly-created items should automatically be added to the current hoisted view.

Right now, these new items do remain in view but if for some reason the grid is refreshed or the file is closed, the newly-added items are lost from view and have to be tracked down and manually added to the hoist.

Prevent "New item" dialog content loss

Submitted by Armando on 2018/06/18 12:26
 Hi PIerre,

Once in a while, I'll type something quite long in the "new item" dialog, and hit ESC by mistake (or maybe because some other dialog gets in the way and I want to close it quickly, but the focus isn't where it should be...).
If one does that while the dialog inadvertently has the focus, it instantly disappears and the data is... lost.

Is it possible for IQ to ask for confirmation before closing the dialog and erasing the content?

Thanks!

"Currently open grids" in view menu

Submitted by Armando on 2018/06/15 16:25
The 2 main grids menus/sub menus (recent grids, grids) show grids in 2 different useful order.
However, when I need to unload a currently open grid, I often need to scroll in either menu, as open grids aren't necessarily shown at the top.

It would be nice to either have a menu containing only open grids, OR subvert the "recent grids" menu and move open grids at the top by default.

Thanks!
