Drag drop between grids

Submitted by jan_rifkinson on 2010/07/24 15:14
Drag / drop between grids either moves <LEFT CLK> or copies <CTRL+LEFT CLK> item from one grid to another
Did I miss something or can't there be a <SHFT+LEFT CLK> or <ALT+LEFT CLK> to drag / drop the item as new (independent item) instead of going through copy xml, paste, etc.

Browse History

I would like to see a feature for the navigation history implemented (like the ones in internet browsers), so that you can go back to the last viewed item. It's very usefull and I am using it constantly in Treepad.

Hyperlinks in the outliner are not working, neither is "Edit with MSWord"

Submitted by MarkyMark on 2010/07/23 10:48
Hyperlinks in the outliner are not working at all. I can not insert them via context menu and I can not activate them (with or without pressing ctrl).

- For example, I tried to insert a hyperlink to a file or to an Item by using the context menu in the outliner. When I choose an item, it shows all relevant features (Hyperlink Text and Filename or Item ID but it does not create a hyperlink after clicking on "OK"-Button.
- Moving a file into the outliner does not work. It shows the Symbol with the arrow, but when I release the mouse button, no hyperlink appears.
- Activating external hyperlinks to websites are working in the IQ-Documentation file is working, but I can not insert external hyperlinks by myself.

- Inserting pictures or tables is working.

Edit with MSWord or with BlockNote is not working either. When I press the icon in the menu button, nothing happens.

The gantt seems to keep old values in memory until a refresh

Submitted by Armando on 2010/07/23 00:30

If I'm using the gantt chart, delete some values in the grid (used as functions parameters) and don't refresh :

even if fields are empty in the grid, functions using them as parameters seem to pick up the values that I just deleted, as if the gantt kept them in memory. (Note that the gantt looks empty... So the fact that it keeps the values in memory is not apparent.

If I do a refresh before doing other stuff, it's okay.

Pierre : Are you aware of that ? If you are , I won't develop further. Otherwise, I can try to find the specific steps to reproduce it.

Why is TaskDuration (or ToDosDurationInDays) rounded to the nearest integer

Submitted by Armando on 2010/07/23 00:26
TaskDuration (or ToDosDurationInDays)  rounded to the nearest integer

It's maybe no big deal, but it could be if I set a task in hours (not days), and then move it while in the "day view" mode...
Suddenly, the task will expand to a full day...
So If I want to keep it in hours, I'll have to go into the hour view mode, which is not practical if I need to move the task to the next week while keeping the same hour interval...

It would be nice to have other's opinion on the subject -- I'm not claiming to possess the "truth" here.

Thanks

Conditional format problem reminder and tip.

Submitted by Armando on 2010/07/21 17:09
The conditional format problem (item content disappears under the color) happens when the "#" column is visible in the grid screen. That's it.

When a slight horizontal scroll is performed to completely hide the "#" column, everything is perfect. (So, in the mean time, I just hide the # column whenever I don't need it.

Pierre : maybe you could send that description to the grid component provider ? (As this is a very un-user-friendly bug, and conditional formatting is and extremely convenient and powerful tool and should be used more in the sample DB)
