Tab Movement

Submitted by WayneK on 2018/12/17 11:11
Just upgraded to 111i and am happy about getting tab drag-and-drop fixed.

The "secure" alternative using right-click will only move one space at a time, then you have to re-select it and start over.  Same if you use alt-arrow.  Not really practical if you have many tabs to move multiple spaces.  Would be nice if the command stayed active and you could move multiple spaces by repeating "alt-arrow".

On the other hand, not a big issue as long as drag-and-drop is working as well as it is right now.

How to change IQ's icon?

Submitted by DragonGem on 2018/12/17 09:42
I've used a resource editor to replace the ICON embedded in InfoQube.exe with one shaded towards a different color. This changes the desktop Icon as expected but the icon in the UI Window and Windows Taskbar remain unchanged. I've searched the associated DLL and OCX files without success. Could you point me to where IQ is loading its application icon from?

One of IQ's greatest features is its PORTABLE mode where all aspects of the UI are contained in a single Directory tree. I currently have 3 different "IQ configurations" optimized for different workflows (data collection, composition, task management). I just want to be able to visually identify which configurations are loaded.

Toggle collapse state of item

Submitted by LeftEccoForIQ on 2018/12/17 03:36
Hey Pierre,

Could we have an additional command in the Item | Subitems... submenu to toggle the collapsed / expanded state of an item? That way, a user could always use the same shortcut, e.g. Ctrl-PgDn or Ctrl and either of the horizontal arrow keys, rather than having to make up his mind whether he needs Ctrl-Left or Ctrl-Right.

Generally, for special requests like this, I guess it would be useful to actually not have these commands show up on any menus by default but only to make them available in the keyboard shortcut configuration dialog. This would allow under-the-radar power user functionality without cluttering up the general interface for people not interested in such additional functionality or alternative UI options.

Cheers

E-mail to IQ doesn't

Submitted by Paul_J_Miller on 2018/12/13 11:19
I have set up an e-mail account and verified that it works by also setting it up in Thunderbird and sending e-mails to/from it.  It works on both send and receive.

I have also set up InfoQube to receive e-mails from this account and assign them to the 'Inbox' grid following the instructions in the documentation on this website.  E-mails sent to InfoQube should appear in the 'Inbox' grid.  So far nothing has appeared.

Any ideas ?

The revamped "add item" dialog

Submitted by Armando on 2018/12/13 09:43
Hi Pierre,

The new "add item" dialog offers some nice new functionalities, but I miss a few things:

- keep the last assigned fields
- enable typing/editing the field names directly
- keep the last size of the "item" text box
- navigate using keyboard shortcuts (alt+letter)

I don't think those are still there, unless I missed something?

There also seems to be a shortcut issue : Alt+A (to add the item to the DB) doesn't do anything. If anyone can confirm that...

Thanks!!

DOCUMENT PANE : [Expand All] appends "[ ]" to the end of any COLLAPSED Header

Submitted by DragonGem on 2018/12/12 19:02
In the Document Pane, if you collapse several Headers and then invoke the [Expand All] command, text is APPENDED to the end of any currently collapsed Header. This appended text must be manually removed. The problem compounds itself with each [Expand All] invocation.

Norton antivirus thinks the Infoqube setup files are "dangerous".

Submitted by woodworker on 2018/12/11 17:39
I go to install either the portable or the permanent InfoQube setup file. Norton antivirus appears and announces that the file is dangerous and that it has deleted it. This should, I suppose, be an easy fix, but I thought someone out there might like to know it is happening.
