Tags missing from Tags Pane

I'm trying to re-organize my tags using the tags grid and am having lots of problems.  Changes I make in the tags grid are not being reflected in the tab pane.

I've attached an example of this below.  When I move tags to subitem status in the Tags grid, they often disappear altogether from the Tags pane.

I re-read the manual section on tags and noted that they show all organization being down inside the Tags Pane.  I've always used the Tags grid.  That should work, right?

entering value into empty text or numeric field

IQ makes it very easy to add a tag(s) to an item.  Ctrl+T goes to the Tags pane if it is open, otherwise the tags selector popup appears; and the tags list can be filtered to show only tags that match the text entered.  It would be great if the same applied for the entry of values into text or numeric fields.  It would be great if there was a Fields selector popup that could be activated by a keystroke, and if the list of fields could be filtered just like the tags can be filtered.  Actually I just discovered that even right now it's very easy.  F4 to go to the Properties pane.  And even if

AddressBook: Contact Info in Fields and/or in Doc Pane?

I have a lot of contacts that I plan to import into IQ.
I can put the phone numbers, addresses, E-mails, URLs etc in fields or in the Doc pane (using some standard format).

The advantage with using the Doc pane is that it is already there and provides a convenient way to see all information at once (my AddressBook is detached and not very wide so it is difficult to scroll the columns).
Furthermore, many contacts have several phone numbers (e.g. a business with different departments) and it is unpractical to have 10 fields for phone numbers 1 to 10,....

Ctrl+V pastes incorrect value into item field

I have a Grid "Drive - SSD", and one of the fields/columns is "Drive Type".  I Ctrl+C copied the value "SSD" from the Drive Type field in one item.  Then I tried Ctrl+V to paste this value into the Drive Type field in some other items in the grid.  Instead of pasting "SSD", IQ pasted the IDItem value of the item from which I copied the "Drive Type" value.  IDItem was not one of the columns I had displayed in the grid.  Since had just added some columns to the grid, I thought that might be the source of the problem.  I refreshed the grid but this did not solve the problem.  I closed the grid

sync conflict reconciliation

Inevitably there will be times when I make changes to one version of an IQ database before the changes from another computer on the network have been synced to the computer I'm using.  Then I'll have two or more databases with data that are different to some degree.  I'll wonder what changes I made on the other computer that are not in the database I'm currently using.  And as a practical matter, I might just lose those changes altogether.  I just opened up my laptop version of a database alongside the latest conflicted version from the desktop, in two IQ instances.  In each instance, I've
