Column misbehavior

I have a large grid with 30+ columns.  Whenever I add a column, the order is getting scrambled with 5+ columns moving to random positions.  It started a few days ago.

I think it's doing it at other times, too, but I'm sure it's doing it when i add fields.

Possibly related to my recent bug where it was deleting columns when I was doing grouping?

Just confirmed it's not just this one grid.  Did the same thing in another grid in the same file.

I'll create a column set for back up (should have thought of that before).

Let's get Emojis in Color into InfoQube

One of the things I love about InfoQube is the information density it offers. It makes it convenient to have a lot of info visible on the screen. To that end, I have developed a system of using emojis to signify a variety of meaningful attributes and ways I can filter, or just visually search for needed info. It seems our brains are much quicker at catching colored shapes, even complex ones, than putting letters together and getting the meaning of the words they spell as we scan a page. So emojis work better for how our visual brains pick out connections to what's on the page before us.

How do I add columns to an existing column group?

I couldn't find this in the manual.  I did what I thought was the logical thing: selected the existing column group and also the new columns I wanted to add.

This created a new column group with just the new columns and wiped out my whole existing column set.  The columns disappeared.  "Add column" showed they were still assigned to the grid and "Hidden columns" showed they weren't hidden.  But they were nowhere to be found.

Looks like you have to ungroup the existing set, then create a new group that includes the new columns.
