Hi IQ Users !
 
Version v0.9.98 is now available:
  • New: Grid: WYSIWYG editor height now automatically sizes to show all text
  • New: Surface: Auto-Arrange items on the surface. Dialog shown to set auto-arrange options
  • New: Surface: Add Links... command: opens a list of items on the surface where you can select items to link to
  • New: Surface: When creating a link, click on the popup notification to enter the link text
  • New: Surface: Mouse wheel now behaves as in other views: up/down scrolls, Shift + up/down scrolls left/right, Ctrl + up/down zoom in/out
  • New: Surface: Ctrl + Shift + wheel down now zooms out to show all items
  • New: Surface: Ctrl + Shift + wheel up on an item now centers that item and increases the zoom to 100%
  • New: Surface: Cursor keys now move the surface
  • New: Surface: PgUp/PgDn now scrolls the surface. Shift + PgUp/PgDn scrolls left/right
  • New: Surface: Home move to the center of the surface and sets the zoom to 100%, Ctrl + Home shows all items
  • New: Field: Wrap text in Properties pane property is now used as the default wrap setting for grids
  • Fixed: Grid: Paste could change the scroll position (occurs when not editing)
  • Fixed: Grid: Pressing Escape did not cancel editing (non WYSIWYG editor)
  • Fixed: Grid: In Edit mode, Hyperlink dialog fails if the cell is empty
  • Fixed: Grid: When the HTML pane is visible, switching to an item in the grid and pressing immediately on F2 to edit started edit as expected but the cursor (caret) is not visible
  • Fixed: Omnibox: When doing search, the focus is not always moved to the Search result grid
  • Fixed: New Item dialog: Cursor was sometimes not visible
  • Fixed: New Item dialog: When using the hotkey (Win + N), focus was not set on the dialog, but on the main IQ window
  • Fixed: Switching to another app and back did not set the focus to the last active window when the window is a dialog (Field management, New Item, etc)
  • Fixed: Numerous other focus issues related to having views in panes
2017-07-11: Version was updated to v0.9.98b with the following:
  • New: Faster loading of grids with multiple panes inside them
  • New: Manage Fields: New dropdown menu to recalculate dependencies
  • Fixed: Grid: Layouts with multiple panes could sometimes cause a lock up
  • Fixed: Grids: When the Source Bar is shown, focus was sometimes moved to the Source textbox when it should go to the grid
  • Fixed: Manage Fields: Name change did not trigger an update of field dependencies, potentially causing field equations to fail
  • Fixed: Opening a grid with multiple pane re-used existing grids instead of loading new instances
  • Fixed: Undoing an Item > Split did not work

I appreciate the ability to set fields to always load with word wrap on.  Can you select multiple fields in the field dialogue or do you have to change fields one at a time?

No it isn't, but you can make this easier to do by:
  1. Filter (column header) to show just text field
  2. Set Auto-save on
Then it is as simple as select the field, check Wordwrap, select next field, etc

 thanks so much!  these improvements and fixes are very helpful.

 I used the Surface auto-arrange feature yesterday.
 
1. A prompt popped up a long time after I did it, maybe 10 seconds later, asking if I wanted to save the auto-arrangement.
 
2. After that it kept popping up at intervals every minute or so (or could have been 15 seconds, don't remember), probably 5 times in a row until I closed the surface and IQ and restarted.

Correct. In case you wanted to cancel the Auto-Arrange
I'll integrate it with Undo in the next version

Not sure I understand, it seemed like a bug.  I selected "yes I want to save" but it kept popping up to ask me again and again.  Shouldn't it stop asking once the user selects yes?

Seems to work quite well here!
 
Haven't touched the surface yet... (Might have reasons to do so in a couple weeks.)

 I am no longer cable to use the < > buttons to cycle through home pages.  I can't get off my default home page.  I'm on version 98.

Strange, it is working here.../
Would like a shortcut key to switch home page, such as Ctrl + left / right arrow ?

It's working today, which is strange, because yesterday it wouldn't work even after closing and reopening.  No need for a shortcut, thanks.

 Pierre, I figured out what this is.  It's a focus issue.  Clicking on the double arrows doesn't work because the focus stays in the grid.  You have to click on the home page header for the arrows to work.  At least I do.

OK, I'll fix it. In the meantime, you can use Alt + 1 to move focus to the Home Page
