"Find" nomenclature

It would be less confusing if the various "Finds" were more consistent in what they were called:

The edit>advanced find  dialog shows "Find ..."   Perhaps the dialog could show Find ... (advanced)
The edit>find  (the regular one/quick search/quick find) shows "Quick Search"    Perhaps the default menu could be changed to Find (Quick Search)  or something like that

Separate Tabs as with Chrome

One of the features of the new Google Chrome feature that I immediately fell in love with is the ability to grab any tab and drag it to a new window.  i.e. it ceases being a tab and becomes a new browser window in it's own right.  It's a fantastic feature.  Perhaps some day that will be possible with IQ, just grab a tab/grid and drag it to a new window.  It's especially powerful if you have a large monitor or multiple monitors where it is easy to work with multiple windows.  (I know right now there is "new horizontal tab group")

Automated Assignments

Pierre, et al

Thinking of automation as exists w Zoot smart folders, I'm considering the following scenario:

Populate the 'Inbox' w a lot of check mark category columns. Example

|  house  |  car  |  ToDo  |  Finances  |  girlfriend  | tech | journal |
Then create views for / house / car / todo / finances / girlfriend / tech / journal/ with Inbox as source

Specialized views are then created & this method would automatically populate those views w the appropriate data

First, I'd like comments on this approach.
Second, what's a better approach for this kind of thing?
Third, the problem I see comes in the specialized views.

What DLLs etc InfoQube depends on?

Submitted by Anonymous on 2009/01/02 08:14
I tried running InfoQube on a Linux Windows box (Wine) but with no result. I have succesfully run other portable Windows applications, so I imagine it is an issue of dependencies --though I don't get any "*.DLL missing" or similar error. What DLLs etc does InfoQube expect to already be in the system? IE is supposedly provided by Wine itself.

Check mark done TODO

The default to-do grid has a done field and filter.  When I complete an item it takes 3 or 4 clicks to get the done field to fill with the current date.

Is there a way to use checkbox field when I complete item and then have some sort of macro object fill in current date to the done field?
