Fails to Restore Grids

Submitted by WayneK on 2016/03/27 17:17
I thought there was a recent thread on this but I couldn't find one.  I've had an intermittent problem with grids failing to restore when I open a file.  InfoQube opens with a blank view with no grids displayed.  It doesn't happen every time by any means --- maybe 10%-20% of the time.

I upgraded to 9.73b and it just did it again.

Character problems with HTML template export (code below)

Submitted by Armando on 2016/03/24 17:54
Trying to build an invoice with IQ but it's not working properly.

This used to work (slightly simplified for our purpose) but it doesn't anymore, I get weird chars (see bottom of post):

<head>
<META name=GENERATOR content="InfoQube 0.9.70a">
<META charset=UTF-8>
<STYLE> body {font-family:Calibri; font-size:12;}table {font-family:Arial Unicode MS; font-size:12;}
ol, ul { margin: 0.5em 3em;  }
</STYLE>
<style type="text/css">
.auto-style1 {
text-align: center;
}
.auto-style2 {
text-align: left;
}
.auto-style3 {
margin-right: 0px;
}

Could IQ remember the "group item by sort column" settings for each grid and from one session to the other?

Submitted by Armando on 2016/03/23 09:26
IQ doesn't "remember" the  column sortings from one session to the other. The config is lost after a restart, and maybe in other situations -- not sure.

Since sorting can be a somewhat complex and time consuming business, it would be good!

itemcolor / item conditional formatting colors hide Gantt data (in overlay mode)

OK, got it. It happens only when the item color is applies to the Item column (and perhaps other columns as well) (Grid settings > Options)

The problem is still partially there. Conditional formatting is also the culprit.
(Note that I wasn't necessarily asking to remove all  colors. I think that the fact that the colors were still showing but in a more "subdued" way was OK.)

Freeze after pasting + one other situation

Submitted by Armando on 2016/03/23 08:58
I don't have more details for now.
Basically : select, copy XML, paste.
Paste normally in the same grid or paste as link : IQ freezes.

Notes that Ctrl+drag/drop an item to another grid where another  item/parent is already selected : creates double items where the item is dropped. Can create another report for that if necessary.

Email to IQ with Gmail?

Submitted by David_H on 2016/03/22 02:37
I've set up Email To IQ using gmail with no issues a couple of months ago, then turned it off.  It requires setting "allow less secure devices" to on in gmail account settings, after that it should work.

Today I turned it back on (i.e. entered the necessary account info), and when I use the "test" button it always says "successful", but IQ never actually downloads any items into the IQ inbox grid.  Anyone else have email to IQ working at the moment with gmail?  I've performed a search to make sure the items are not being downloaded, I also tried closing and reopening IQ.

1. Let's say I have set IQ to query the email server every 60 seconds.  Should I see IQ doing something every 60 seconds so i know it's happening?
2.

How About a New Sample File?

Submitted by David_H on 2016/03/20 14:34
Pierre,

Correct me if I'm wrong but the existing sample file is ancient?  How about a new sample file that has grids that show off many of the newest features?  IMO there should be sample grids that not only show off data types "address books", but also some that show off functions, i.e. "grouping".  I'm only making this suggestion on the assumption that it would be a very easy thing for you to do.

Thanks,

David
