I'm not sure if this is a bug or just something I don't understand.  I'm trying to copy/paste text between grid items using the standard Windows short-cuts (Ctrl-c; Ctrl-v).

Instead of pasting the copied text, it pastes the date.

 

If I try to use "copy special", it pastes nothing.  Similar issues when I copy/paste from grid to HTML pane using various combinations of copy, copy special, paste, and paste special.

I was using the left and right keys to move between columns in a grid.  If I move far enough right, the left-most column, the # column, scrolls out of the window and can no longer be seen.  If I then use the left arrow key to move between columns, I can not bring that # back into view.  I can only bring the second column, the Item column, into view.  To bring the # column back into view, I have to drag the scroll bar with the mouse.  Seems like I should be able to do this with the arrow keys.

 

It might be good to be able to "freeze" this # column so that it always appears, no matter how far I move the arrow key to the right.  For that matter it might be nice to be able to freeze columns just like we can do with a spreadsheet.

 

 

I'd like to be able to use a keyboard shortcut to bring up a pop up field assignment box.  Two columns, one for fields and the other values.  Go to an empty row in the table, and in the "field" column, start typing in the name of a field.  Fields would be auto-searched for matching field names, press enter to select the desired field.  Tab to value column, type in the desired value.  (For yes/no fields, box would already be checked).  Existing forms could also appear in the popup box.

I want to copy all Items from one grid to a brand new grid with preserving the order from the original grid.

There is no hierarchy outline in the first grid.

As of now the copy/pasting (put items in grid option) preserves some of the ordering, but not entirely.

 

Sorry for what is a basic question but I haven't been able to figure out what I'm doing wrong (and ancouldn't find answer in help).

 

How do I control what columns are displayed in the grid?  I thought that I all I had to do was check "Shown" in the field properties, and that column would be added to the grid, and displayed every time the grid is opened.  I've been adding columns this way, then InfoQube removes them and I can't figure out why.

 

1) I add a column to the grid using field properties.

2) I go to "manage grids" to adjust the setting for column widths

3) I return to the grid, and InfoQube has removed all the columns I just added.

 

Bonus problem: how do I get column widths to remain fixed?  I have "auto-size width" turned off but InfoQube keeps re-sizing columns and cutting off the text in the headers.

Scenario:

I have a text field named "Value" with a fixed pop-up list and the options of selecting:

Value 1

Value 2

Value 3

 

I have a grid named Goals.  When I enter ANY item in the Goals grid, I want the item to receive a Value of Value 3.  What do I enter in the Value fields equation area to make that happen?

This is a minor issue I've run into several dozen times but am unable to recreate at will, so it may be difficult to pin down.

 

1) Create a list of items with the item cell blank

2) Copy a block of text and paste it in the HTML pane of one of the items.

3) The text pastes into both the HTML pane AND the item cell.
