Wildcards in the Source Bar

Submitted by DavidF on 2016/04/29 16:10
hi,

is it possible to have a wildcard as part of the criteria in the Source Bar for a grid? Eg within an IQ database I have two items, one with Item = "apple", the other with Item = "apples". I want a grid that will capture both these items. So in the Source Bar I can put Item = "apple" to get the "apple" item, or Item = "apples" to get the "apples" item. Is there any syntax I can use to get both? I've tried various combinations of quotes and asterisks without success.

Properties pane sections management: Ctrl+Shift+# to manage expansion/contraction of specific sections

Submitted by Armando on 2016/04/27 13:18
Ctrl+# has been implemented but implementing the other shortcuts like Ctrl+Shift+# would be very helpful too. (As after a Ctr+1, if I expand a field parent, it expands it as it was before, which can be slightly chaotic and hard to manage. )
Thanks!

Column sorting : can't sort by date when there's a time added (decimals)

Submitted by Armando on 2016/04/27 11:43
In a grid (let's say todo) :

- reproduce/copy the same date in several items -- use the same date field, displayed as a column in the grid.

- Add different times (hours and minutes) to the dates in each item.

- Right click on the date column & sort ascending/descending : it doesn't sort properly.

(Screencast of sample file with vanilla IQ v75 on demand.)

Confirmation?

Thanks

Tab / shift+tab no longer working - version 75 [FIXED in version 76]

Submitted by gregory on 2016/04/27 00:31
A new problem, specific to version 75. The use of the keys tab and shift plus tab to navigate between columns in a grid no longer works. This requires all navigation to be undertaken using the mouse, which is inconvenient to say the least. I wonder if this has anything to do with the useful new facility to use shift plus F2 to invoke the new event dialogue for date fields? Possibly significant, I am using a French AZERTY keyboard; Windows 7.

Combine vertical and horizontal tab groups

I don't think it's possible right now to have both vertical and horizontal tab groups open at the same time (it's either/or).   I'd like to suggest that Pierre consider adding this feature, if it wouldn't be too difficult to implement.  Not a big deal at all, but it would give the user complete control over his grid layouts.

There have been times that I thought it'd be nice to have main the work area in a full-sized vertical grid, with several reference grids stacked one above the other (horz. layout) in a second grid.

Just an idea.  I understand that i can simulate this by having multiple instances of InfoQube open but I always worry about having conflicts or losing work when trying to work on the same file in different IQ instances.

"Group items by sort columns" : can't select items (across groups) and apply field change using properties pane

Submitted by Armando on 2016/04/22 12:56
I've been using "grouping by sort columns" (sort mode) a lot, but the last three bugs I found (see forum), makes it a bit difficult on a daily basis.

So, when in "group items by sort columns" mode, you  can't select all/multiple items (across groups) and apply a change to a field using the properties pane.
It doesn't work properly.
(If I'm not mistaken, only the first selected item is modified, or something like that.)

Can anybody confirm?
